Just an FYI especially for Shereads.

I just wanted to thank everyone.
I know some people think......its just a dog, but she wasn't she was my baby too.
Her and my son grew up together, she slept under his crib. She loved her kids and thought she was one too.

Today I picked up her ashes...and yes, Abs cried like a baby.
I still hear her in the house. I smell her. I wait for her to greet me at the door.

So we'll build a shelf and put her there to be with us.

Today, hug the one you love, furry or not.:rose:

Hugging you, furry or not

I'm so sorry, Abstruse. I've just seen the thread for the first time. I hope that your years of fond memories are a comfort.

That is one of the worst things in the world, to loose a pet. We pay such a high price for the much too short time we get to keep them.:rose:

(But you always have your Swedish pitbull?)

Yes. The sound of her toenails on the floor.

A reminder that you can't really lose her. She's safe now, in your heart.

As you know , I am right with you on this.

Thinking about pulling out some white paint and a brush and writing "D.G. is my co-pilot" on the Pathfinder's back window.

It is a sign of our capacity for good when we share our hearts with our furry friends.
