well, that's technically NOT accurate. There was ONE spy on board....someone who joined up as their crew, I believe, but was killed shortly afterwards by Jayne, and shoved out the airlock by Mal, I think.

I think DR has a point in that Alliance forces haven't done anything undercover with Serenity and also I think that Serenity is too small a fish to warrant that kind of operation. I culd maybe see it if it was somebody from the Academy trying to recover River Tam but even then, all through the FF/S series there has been nothing covert.

well the agent would want some small fish for his job, hes not going after serenity or its crew, hes using them as a cover for his actual mission, which have no idea what would be, i havent though about it that much, im just trying to find a way to get a bad guy in to the story without getting my character left all alone

Well he's got hidden depths that you can drag up if you get bored of shepherding. There are loads of references in FF/S about his extensive knowledge of the Alliance and the sort of stuff only an ex operative would know. You can take that wherever you like really.

Yes, that was the main reason why I chose him I still would have rather done Jayne, but Shepard has many sinster options too.

I'd say lets just go along with La_Reina's idea. However, would you mind clarifying some things. The way you wrote it sounds like they are transporting a prissoner. Maybe its just me, but that doesn't seem like something they'd be very big on.
