We've been doing some appliance upgrading lately We now have:

68cm HD LCD TV supposedly on loan (courtesy of Gil's mum who bought another one when she moved her original one upstairs while renovating was going on, and didn't want to shift it down again),

Two DVD/VCR combos - one for lounge and one for bedroom where the old TV has been put, so Gil can watch DVDs and videos while he's on dialysis,

New washing machine. The enamel on the bowl of the old one had begun to flake off and it was rusting....the machine was over 15 years old though R2D2 has now taken up residence in our laundry...it beeps and even plays a tune when the wash finishes!

New microwave a few weeks ago...bloody things hate me they keep blowing up, so got a more expensive one (less the cost of the old one which was still under warranty) in hopes it will last a bit longer than 6 months!

Just heard today Gil's mum has bought ANOTHER TV so looks like we now own the TV

The long weekend was last weekend for WA....though I have tomorrow off, so it's a long weekend for me anyway!

Speaking of banks does anyone else have the same sneaky bpay set up as my bank does . When I go to Bpay something it automatically comes out of my credit card account by default , if I forget to change it and then have to repay credit card out of savings it costs a fee........... me thinks Banks need a good hard look at themselves.
What gives them the right to say they might not be able to pass on the full in terest rate cuts |???????????????
