Clothes: who needs 'em?

This morning has just confirmed what the calendar suggests, that summer is gone. Winter tends to come early to this region. I happen to like winter, as a season. You know? The whole poetic cliche package of the fireplace and a time to kick back with thick books, and I always get into the written words more in winter. Not too crazy about the temperature of snow but I love the way it looks, especially new, on trees and yards, and roofs.

But there is no perfect season or situation. Because just as I begin to feel excitement for the coming of winter, I mutter a discontented curse.

Clothes. Will have to start wearing clothes. Pants mainly. The sweater's okay. More than okay. An affectionate reunion of friends. But the pants. And socks. And shoes. They just ain't natural.

Just wanted to say that.

Thanks.

The best part of having days off is walking around nude while my kids are in school.

never gave it much thought til just now, but the Scots probably have/had the right idea. Kilts.

I'm with you--don't see much use for clothes around the house. Which came as something of a surprise/shock to my step-daughter who lives with us, I suspect, but I waited until she was 21.

Sarongs are a good alternative for both men and women, by the way. Covers the various bits without feeling confining.

Completely agree.

Sarongs don't work worth a damn in our house. If I see Amy in one, with her nice bits poking through some nice thin material, that thing is off in an instant and I am playing Flying Love Monkey! :D

Having children is not going to stop us from walking around nude. The children will also be free to be clothed or not in the house, as it suits them.

"Flying Love Monkey?"

Is that available on X-Box?

:D

Sarong! that's good. And a good word.

I think somewhere things got turned around: I say, So what if she wears the pants? Let 'er.

Well, nudity is the natural order. Shame we humans thought that we knew better, eh?

I need clothes - my yard is a moving mass of stinging nettle right now

I live in Arizona, where one can walk around naked nine months out of the year. Nya nya nya nya nya.
