Researchers have discovered plants under stress produce their own Aspirin in the form of a gas. Whilst farmers may be able to use this discovery to accurately predit problems (eg: drought or pest) they researchers believe the gas is a form of intra-plant communication alerting fellow plants of impending danger and triggering the production of Aspirin to alleviate the problem.
