Go europe! Should be a good one. I'm not sure bout Faldo as Captain tho, hes a bit of a smug twat.:)

I think there's a number of good story lines to watch this time around. Faldo and Azinger have quite a history together and despite being friends and certainly very friendly on television, both live to beat each other's brains out.

It will also be interesting to see how the American team coalesces without Woods. It was always difficult to find a good pairing for him for the first two days of matches so lacking that challenge may allow Azinger a tad more freedom in setting up his pairings.

Watch young J. B. Holmes. He can hit it from Belfast to Edinburgh . The kid played on his small town's high school golf team from the time he was in the third grade (age 8), lives nearby and has played the Valhalla course regularly for years.

USA has a lot of rookies and most of the veterans have losing records. But we have home course advantage.

I hope we wont rue not taking Monty along, sure his form has been crap but he has never been beaten in a ryder cup match. I would have picked him as a wild card. Home advantage will prove a big factor I agree.

I'm not so confident about the home field advantage. In the last five events staged in the U. S., the American team has a 2 and 3 record. And surely everyone's aware that that record could easily have been 1 and 4 but for some amazing play and a few breaks on Sunday in Brookline in 1999.

l'd have left poulter behind the boy is a liability and acts like a fucking clown.

Yes, he dresses a tad funny. But I notice that he outplayed nearly everyone this summer at The Open. Must mean that he's got a bit of game, no?

He certainly talks a good game! I'm being a tad unfair to the lad its just he rubs me up the wrong way. Might put in a wee wager at my local bookies.

I'm just hoping for a good match... (For a change)

This should be interesting. Maybe the US will be better without Mr. Woods. We sure haven't done well with him. Go Kenny Perry -- be the hometown hero!

First blood to the yanks but some good golf was played. Told you Poulter was a liability would have been better off with Monty. Still the tournament is young. Lovely looking course.

Shut up you clueless ninny, Poulter is there on merit you spanner.

Excellent matches today and some great holes with 'top that' shots that got topped. I'll hope 'our' boys don't celebrate too much and screw up tomorrow. I have to agree that Monty and Clarke (sp?) would probably have been better choices by Nick, but we'll see.

Can you believe he's sitting Westwood and Garcia out in the morning? That takes balls given their record. It will be interesting.

Honestly, you would think since this is basically being played in my backyard that I would know something about it, all I can say is that Valhalla got their electricity back on a hellofa lot faster than the rest of the city!

For those of you who don't know Hurricane Ike plowed through here on Sunday as a wind storm. 301,000 homes without electricity, but Valhalla was up the next day. Hmmmm. Schools have been closed all week. I know there are some people who even tonight are sitting in the dark.

But through all that we are still up and going! GO TEAM USA even through adversity!

who's the most fuckable wife or girlfriend..that's the important question.
Amy Mickelson is hot, but she looks like a dud in bed.

How did Jim Furyk get his wife!?!

Sorry about the imbalance in restoring power. The devastation of Ike has been lost in the coverage of financial issues and now golf. Galveston, Houston and many other places are still struggling. The golf is is minor in comparison. Schools probably should have been the priority in Texas and everywhere else. I do hope they get things back on line and that you won't hate us for enjoying the event.
