THAAAAATS right folks! I think the best way to avoid conflict when allowing for (legal) prostitution in Vegas is to MAKE A NEW STATE. Ok I guess that will cause a lot of conflict but hey, at least it would get a lot of media attention! After the state of South Nevada is made (maybe we can call it something cool like "Vega" lol) prostitution shall be legalized! The las Vegas strip will stretch all the way to the sheep range (a mountain range north of Vegas) and will feature new mega hotels with a full offering of kinky sluts to spend the night with.

Who else thinks this is awesome? Maybe I will make even more maps featuring were I think the new brothels should go around Vegas.

I am not really all that serious about the statehood idea, but I do think prostitution should be legal (albeit well regulated).

So what would be the state flag? State flower? State song? ;)

And which hotel would serve as the capitol?

Prostitution is legal in the counties surrounding LasVegas just not within the city limits.

Prostitution is illegal in Clark county [where Las Vegas is located] under state law. A few other counties make prostitution illegal, by county or city ordnance. The main other places where prostitution is illegal are Reno and Carson City.

If the South of Nevada were to become a state, likely prostitution would still be illegal in Las Vegas. Despite the fact that prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas, any of the big casinos can get a prostitute up to your room without the need for a long wait.

As a resident of Las Vegas, it's my considered opinion that you are a fucking idiot.

Hmm thats a good point. The current state flag SUCKS. Boring as hell.

Which hotel would WHAT? Surely you jest.

Vegas isn't even a good fuel stop. Make it a state? Durrrr?

Its all opinion. If you claim that there is nothing to do in Vegas, then you probably were in the city for about five minutes total.

I am suggesting that they make it legal, albeit with proper ordinances to keep brothels/mega casino-whorehouses far from schools and isolated to there own red light district.

As a fellow resident of Las Vegas, it's my considered opinion that your house shall be demolished to make room for the first brothel. Just like the Wynn Encore was built on top of demolished homes.

I don't care what else you do, but leave Bobby's Room the fuck alone! I mean it!

Are you old enough to be here? Somehow I have my doubts....

KLCK perhaps you should calm down and think for a minute, probably a foreign concept for you but try it anyway. :p

Clark County does not allow brothels because the state decided they would not. They can allow brothels anytime they want, though I assume it would rather require a statewide vote and nobody outside of Clark County would want that. Vegas already see's like 90% of the state visitors anyway, you add brothels there and they will get 99.9% The .1% will be truck drivers and people visiting family or moving.

Brothels bring in money to the towns they are near, vegas in no shape or form needs to make more money, which is exactly what allowing brothels in Clark County would do. Despite the fact you want a brothel closer than what 2 hours from you, it won't happen, ever.

Besides, escorts and prostitutes are to be found in vegas, they are not regulated or tested like the brothels, but they are there.

State law states that any county with a population over 400,000 cannot have legal brothels. The only county in Nevada that meets that guideline is Clark County. Prostitution is also illegal in Washoe, Lincoln, and Douglas counties. It is neither legal nor illegal in Eureka County.

We really do need our own Amsterdam, Vegas fits the bill.

Jomar For Govenor

I've been to Mexico and the Caribbean and have used google Earth so I have extensive foreign policy experience.

I have a checking account so have financial expertise.

I have lived in several states in various sized cities so have clear understanding of domestic issues.

And I'm against raising the pussy tax!

So vote for Jomar for Govenor of Vega!

Well yeah its definitely not going to happen anytime soon, but we can have ideas can we not?

The whole "statehood" idea was just kind of a joke, but the idea of seeing prostitution in Las Vegas finally regulated is not. Standardized disease testing, elimination of pimps and a safe environment come to mind.

Besides, Las Vegas TOTALLY needs more money. Dubai needs some competition, those guys are getting uppity. We also need to change our monorail into something that human beings can actually use. There going to connect it to the airport from the convention center, but in my mind its a failure so far.

How many colleges have you attended?

I think that would that mean two new Republican Senators. (No doubt of the perfectly acceptable libertarian variety.)

Personally, I don't get the objection to legalized prostitution, anywhere. But what do I know?

I don't get why it's illegal either, legalize it regulate it and suddenly the country has another billion to spend. Well around that area I think.

Drugs would more go away than anything if they were legalized, besides it would also be more money for the country. Won't happen but still the only way to end the whole problem.

But of course, legalizing prostitution won't happen anywhere besides Nevada for a long while, unless a non religious president decides to do it and manages to shove it through congress. Because it's against religion, course most priests are hiring escorts/having mistresses or sleeping with their altar boys anyway so religious ideals don't stand up to much.

We won't mention what congress is up to behind closed doors, that doesn't involve them accepting money to sponsor a law.

So how will this work exactly?

The two New Nevada senators hire hookers as "Aides" with the understanding that they will fuck when needed, in exchange for a salary (sort of like a legal retainer). They take them to DC where prostitution is illegal. These "Aides" give up the ass to get bills passed - that's what they are getting a salary to do - but they don't charge the "John."

Would that be illegal or business as usual?
