As many of you know I love my Bacon. I also love my deep fryer. I did a search, just for grunts and grins and not only found recipes for Deep Fried Bacon but restaraunts that sell it.

I may have to try it.

We cooked up a couple of kilo's of pork belly at the weekend. Cut into pieces a couple of inches long, saute slowly to drive out the moisture, then finish frying in its own fat until crispy all around and succulent inside. Yummy snack with a lot of the fat cooked out.

Chicken Fried Bacon went home with the top award at the Texas State Fair this year. Fried Banana Split was most creative. Other interesting entries were fried jelly beans, fried chocolate truffles, and deep fried S'mores.

At the booth next door, they measure you for your very own deep fried pine box.

I ate soooo much of it in Vegas last year. I told myself I wasn't having anymore for a while. I will have some next year.

I love country smoked ham...with sugar glaze on it...OMG that's good...chewy and soooo flavorful...and salty!

I've heard of the Aussies deep frying candy bars...Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Snickers, Baby Ruth...Yum yum.

Even deep fried ice cream.
