The rape of Sarah Palin

I'm here because I want to join in and share and grow and have discourse within an ADULT-centric, sex-progressive community. And part of being in that is having some respect towards other people different from you, even when you disagree with them. You know, being an ADULT instead of being a fucking child.

So, it's not a popularity contest with me, either. Respect doesn't need popularity.

You're getting "attacked" because you chose to equate rape with Sarah Palin's candidacy. You're getting "attacked" because out of all the words in the english language, you couldn't find a better way to say what you said. You're getting "attacked" because of your immaturity.

But saying this is pretty moot because you're not here to be liked, right? Right?

"A moo point? Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo."

I loved that episode....

You can't be that big an ass.

So then it wasn't some big media conspiracy to destroy Palin. She put the story out there of her own accord.

Furthermore, she and her husband knew that they had a had a ticking time bomb of a family secret that they had been keeping from the public for months, (There were questions about Bristol being pregnant by the local media before she was announced as the VP pick, which they denied..) and decided to accept the nomination anyway. Knowing full well that their daughter's pregnancy would without a doubt be thrust into the international media spotlight.

But it's the media's fault.. Poor Sarah..

What the media has done is heinous. I'm sorry your politics have blinded you from this but oh well. This is beyond rape. This is personal and planned.

She holds public office. This shit comes with the territory of public office. Rape doesn't come with fixing a paper jam at the xerox machine.

Was John Kerry raped or was he swift boated? Was John Edwards raped by the media as well? This is part and parcel when you're in public life and especially when you run for the highest offices in the land. This is why we have the first amendment, to keep the politicians honest. In theory anyway.

Yes you trivialized a word like rape. Own it and be done with it.

I hear they're going to rape her right there on that shiny stage at the RNC.

Vampire style.

Should be sweet.

Quite the conundrum, huh. It is a big gamble, but this is the big stake table.

Poor Sarah Palin, indeed.

We did you a favor with Kerry, admit it.

I was never here for a popularity contest. I am truly appalled by the American media and how it has become tabloid. The irony in all this is what does a liberal care what is growing in Sarah Palin's daughter's uterus.

Sarah, the mother, allowed her daughter's pregnancy to be her rebuttal.

Why not just show the birth certificate or a picture of Sarah in the hospital with new baby Trig to squelch the doubters? Why throw your pregnant daughter to the wolves? It doesn't make sense to me.

It was so important for her to do so that is was ‘breaking news’ in the middle of a postponed national convention and hurricane reports on the news.

Would it have been better for her to hide it? Then everyone would be decrying her for keeping it a secret. It's the same with Obama and the religion thing. People complain about him not saying what he is, and then if he did say, they would find fault with that. That's how the media works in these situations.

She had to bring it out sooner or later or be accused of covering it up. There was no GOOD time to do it.

Ok then. What is "your opinion" of the fact her daughter is pregnant and married?

by the liberal media has begun in full force and the NYT is holding her legs.

Fred Thompson will ride in on his white horse tonight and defend her honor.

Sarah Palin has chosen to run for political office in this country and she's facing the same scrutiny, for better or worse, as any other political candidate.

To compare the treatment she's receiving (treatment, by the way, brought into the political arena by your own party) to being raped is repulsive.

If a liberal had said this about the way Hilary Clinton was treated, you would be screaming your head off about double standards and women can't take it.

Uhmm, Bristol Palin was not, or is not running for any public office.

As I see it, the word "rape" was used as a metaphor.

Obama warned his opponants that his family was "off limits".

The NYT is a shill for Obama.... even the dems admit it.

I care more about Palin's judgment as a mother than her daughter's judgment as a girlfriend and sex partner.
