PART of Palin's SSN was released.. Minus the last 4 digits, which makes it pretty much fucking useless to anyone.

The first trio is an area number, geographical information.

The two following that is the group number, Group Numbers indicate what year or how long ago a person received a SSN. The higher the number, the newer it is (e.g. 545-46-xxxx was issued in CA in 1951, and 545-53-xxxx was issued in 1978).

The last four digits, the one's omitted from the report that Dizzybooby is raising hell about, are the serial number and togeter with the rest identify a single person. Without the final four digits the rest are useless.

So what we know from the released portion of her partial SSN is where it was issued and when.
