Yeah, Gustav was just a rain storm and Jindal a piker.....![]()

Nope, but trying to compare Gustav and Katrina is more than just a little disingenuous.
Other than both being hurricanes, the scope of the damage isn't even remotely close. Gustav was downgraded a full level of magnitude under katrina before it made landfall. The damage caused (according to current reports) is about 1/8th 1/10th of Katrina.
Yeah, but preparations, planning, coordination and actions clearly show huge differences. The Democrat panicked, fumbled and screwed up and Jindal looked like a professional leader.

So what's your point? They got the people out before the storm hit. What a novel fucking idea.
That had a lot more to do with FEMA actually making an appearance before the fucking storm hit than it did with Jindal.

He gives great speeches, but when it comes to real-life-action, he's been completely ineffective.Rightfield, I think this weekend's panic is a great indicatgor on how he can't get out ahead of an issue; again, he's been playing catchup to the dumbest guy ever to leave the military acadamy.
It's Busha-vu... Back to 2000, back to the famous green spiral playbook...
Gatoraid is better...
You're so full of shit. FEMA wasn't there this time either. You don't send anyone into the paths of those storms clown. Nor does FEMA do anything more than write checks. They are NOT first responders, never were, and never were intended to be.
Blanco and Nagin screwed the pooch and the people of LA know it, that's why Jindal in in office now. (And Nagin had to buss in evacuees and work the absentee ballots for all he was worth to keep his seat.)

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- As Hurricane Gustav strikes the Louisiana and Mississippi coasts, with the impact felt from Texas to Florida, the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is working with numerous federal agencies and voluntary organizations to support state and local authorities as they all focus on life-saving and safety related activities. Federal resources to support Search & Rescue and recovery efforts are pre-staged in areas just outside the storm's impact area and are ready to enter the region in the immediate aftermath of the storm to supplement resources already on the ground in the most impacted communities.
How long after Katrina before FEMA was even close to doing anything? Three days? more?
This time they were pre-staged, ready to sweep in and assist as soon as the storm passed. Jindal had shit to do with it.
You're still full of shit.
Katrina-FEMA prestage
They were prestaged for Katrina as well. You'll get it one of these days, maybe.
