McCain confirms Sarah Palin!

They don't have to attack her - just attack McCain. She either has to fall into line with his policies or not. If she doesn't then she undermines McCain. If they keep it about the issues with her and not about her personality/experience/etc., then they won't look bad. Of course, someone may find some scandal.

And she admits using marijuana. Great. Chong with tits could be sitting #2.

OK this is a nonissue but it's popped up a few times. Am I out of touch? Does anyone really care whether someone has smoked pot? Honestly, I'd prefer that they had. Had, not DO smoke pot. Maybe that means she will have an open mind about "The War on Drugs" and the 13 billion dollars in wasted federal funding that pile of horse shit has received this year.

Perfect opportunity at a debate.

Palin: Blah, blah, blah, blah....

Biden: Sarah, you ignorant slut.

I'm crossing my fingers.

During the campaign she'll be able to effectively bring up Obama's record voting against the bill to protect infants born alive after a botched abortion, especially when people learn that she just gave birth to a Down's Syndrome baby that she refused to abort.

She also has a son who joined the Army last year and who will be deployed to Iraq.

I don't care that she smoked it at some time in the past, but it is interesting.

She actually doesn't sound half bad - the problem is, does anyone really believe, that with McCain, she will have any impact or presence on a McCain admin? If McCain is elected she will just be a placeholder. Now if she was running for president herself, I might actually vote for her, but as VP and McCain running the show? No thanks.

1) Senator McCain will probably need to revise one of his favorite lines. You know how he loves to say "I didn't come to the Senate to get voted Miss Congeniality"? Well, Sarah P. was voted "Miss Congeniality" when she won the Miss Wasilla Beauty pageant --- on her way to becoming first runner up for Miss Alaska.

2) Her husband's status as a Native American will be a much-discussed, big plus -- Todd is a Yup'ik Eskimo.

3) Like McCain, Governor Palin is the mother of a young soldier serving in Iraq. The oldest of her five children, Track, enlisted in the Army at age 18 on September 11, 2007 -- the sixth anniversary of a day the Democrats try to forget. McCain refuses to talk about his two boys on active duty. Governor Palin (who also has a newborn Downs Syndrome baby at home, of course) is less reticent.

4) She likes to hunt moose and loves to eat mooseburgers -- a detail the press will repeatedly emphasize. She's also, more importantly, a life member of the NRA.

Palin was chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. I'm no expert, but that definitely sounds like a position where it's real easy to get your hands dirty.

And we'll see if she will change her position on ANWR drilling to match the one McCain has always had (I'm not sure he still has it, given how much he's flip flopped on everything else).

Regarding the Oil and Gas Commission, you might read Palin explains her actions.

I doubt Sarah is going to change her mind on ANWR.

The BAM people put this out

you can tell they are worried

Palin: Obama Reax

From the Obama campaign:

Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000..........9,000 more then BAM has managed, and they ommitted the fact she is a Gov of a State! with zero foreign policy experience........Of course BAM has a bunch:rolleyes: .......a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies — that's not the change we need, it's just more of the same.Biden is change??????????????

I wonder if Biden will during a debate.

Regardless of Biden's tough persona:

1) He doesn't have anger management issues like McCain.

2) He obviously has a huge amount of respect for women by the way he treats his wife (talks about the mother of his children) and fights for women's rights and protection against violence.

Besides, I doubt Biden would call his wife a "cunt" or offer her up in a topless biker pageant as the next “Miss Buffalo Chip.”

CNN sounds like PINKY!

:DHave They Said That About Obama?

CNN tags Palin as "too young and inexperienced."

Whatever the outcome of the election, the results will certainly be historic.

it's shallow, but her voice annoys the SHIT out of me.

I certainly heard it said often enough about Hillary. And for that matter, Joe Lieberman.

She doesn't come across as a serious person, and this doesn't come across as a serious selection by McCain. It's condescending to women.

...2) Her husband's status as a Native American will be a much-discussed, big plus -- Todd is a Yup'ik Eskimo.

That's interesting, although coming from the guy who introduced "KNEE GROW" to the GB, a mite hypocritical perhaps.

Thank you, I was just thinking that!

My stomach is turning listening to her whiney, nasal, shrill voice.
Geez, when we said the AME THING about Hillary's laugh and voice

WE WERE CALLED SEXIST

Why isnt your comment demeaning to a woman?

the KENYAN COLORED FOOL got a NEGATIVE bounce with teh pick of BYE!-DUN!

the HERO will get a NICE bounce with SexxxySarah!

In the end is it issues or just "I don't like this guy?" Women's rights and protection against violence are too broad a stroke to call issues. Not to mention that much of the actually policy about such things is at the state level and the President has little say about them other than appointing Supreme Court Justices which of course goes to Roe V Wade and does anyone really think that's going to change? Every 4 years we hear about that and so far, no change.

OK OK he is a mean old white man...I get it.
