Looking at the forecast, FAY may make a visit to New Orleans. Its possible.

What happens if this rainmaker goes to New Orleans, stays a while, and dumps 2 feet of water on the town?

Why don't we send you there as a kind of AH Correspondent to find out? Rain coat and waterwings provided as part of the deal

You'd just be depressed and pissed-off if my reports earned me fame and fortune.

From the lates satelite imageery on the Weather Channel, Fay doesn't actually need to go to NOLA, it can just sit there between Pensacola and Mobile and pump rain into the Mississippi delta

Just out of curiosity, anyone in your neck of the woods looked up the record for most US landfalls by a single storm system? Fay's working on either five or six at the moment.
