It was part of a breeding programme for the Adiposian Royal Family... At the time I was going "They are so cute, they HAVE to make toys of those", and YAY they did.

Saw that episode recently. I'm not surprised the made toys out of them.

Although I admit that scene with thousands of Adipose wandering the streets was rather creepy.

Although not as creepy as the aliens who carried their brains around in their hands.

The episode in the library was my favourite.

Especially with the line - "You can find them everywhere, even on earth."

I had visions of children all over England refusing to sleep without the lights on after that episode
