I'm in GA, but I am not a native Southerner. I don't know if you'll find anybody in the uber conservative profoundly religious South who will admit to being either of those things. I'm sure they're out there, but they're probably too busy praying for deliverance to enjoy the gift of their sexuality.
I'm married, but I wanted to say hello. Always nice to know I'm not the lone freak in this state.

Yeah, there are quite a few married ones. Maybe it's more natural for them to gravitate to the web looking for whatever it is they aren't getting at home.
The church angle is a little overblown. Many of these 16 and 17 year old Baptist girls are spreading their legs on the weekends. And the older women get, the hornier they get. But if you limit the search to women into BDSM, it gets hard.

I am southern and there are a few of us that will own being a bit freaky.
If anything, the south is over represented on the bdsm boards.

Well, admittedly, I don’t have much exposure to adolescent girls, although I’m sure I will soon, as I have newly adolescent boys. But, I would guess they are just as curious and willing as they were when I was 16 and probably more so.
But as far as grown women are concerned….sex is not something that is talked about much. Religion, however, is. Perhaps it is just more pervasive where I live, but it seems to be the topic of choice when groups of women convene.
That said, I think you are correct that women become more…libidinous as they age. It has certainly been true for me, much to my husband’s satisfaction. And, I believe, they become more adventurous and less self conscious about their bodies. We are freer to enjoy and explore our sexuality.
So, I believe, they are drawn to the web and sites such as these, not to find something that is missing (although, indisputably, some do) but to discover new things and to connect with likeminded people. And also, to some degree, to find assurance that their desires are not abnormal.
Especially in the case of kink, fetish and bdsm, it is nearly impossible to find people in real life willing to open up about sexuality. When you throw repressive attitudes like those you find here in the South into that mix it can be particularly difficult.
I am relatively new to Literotica, so I wasn’t aware that the South is particularly well-represented here. It makes sense though. When one cannot be open about one’s sexual proclivities, one would naturally be compelled to seek out a place like this, where every type of kink is tolerated and even embraced.
Anyway, I hope you find someone that shares your interests. I’m sorry I was so negative and discouraging. I honestly didn’t mean to be. That was purely my own frustration with the South coming out.

Yeah I know what you mean. I could walk around downtown with a flogger and very few people would know what it was. If I opened up a public play place here it would be a scandal and the police would do what they could to shut it down. People in Texas got all upset about the swinging place. BDSM would go over worse. There are a few in places like Atlanta. And most moderate sized towns have bdsm groups.
What can I do though? The heart wants what it wants. I do manage to find subs here and there. Phone sluts are a dime a dozen but that only fuels the fire for a few months.
I do like finding subs on this site because I think the quality is a lot better than the meat market sites like collarme or bondage.com.

What can you do? Honestly, I'm not qualified to give advice in that respect. I am lucky because the interest in exploring new and different kinds of sex has developed mutually between my husband and me.
Truthfully, I think he's always been interested in kink and was just waiting for my sexual "awakening", so to speak. Once that happened, he was very instrumental in my willingness to explore new things. I have never worried that he would be disgusted or shocked by something I might wish to try.
I realize I am very lucky in that respect.
If I was single and looking to find someone who shares my interests, I woud be somewhat lost, I think, in how to go about that, especially in a place as conservative as the South.

You have a blog, I see...do you not get any interest from that? Blog communties are, in general, somewhat interactive. Maybe join some of the kink oriented blog groups to get your name out there?

The blog has been a sub magnet. But still doesn't help with the geographical problem. And a lot are married as well. One married lady flew in to see me with her husband's permission. That's not really what I'm looking for though.

I'm having a little trouble finishing the series. I don't know why, I'm just not feeling any inspiration about what should happen next. Perhaps because my personal life has been too busy lately to focus as much on our sex life.

LOL. Well obviously, I am travelling in the wrong circles. I guess PTA meetings, little league games and bake sales don't really lend themselves to opening up about one's kinks.

Don't I know it. It's always the mild mannered looking folks that turn out to be the kinkiest.
I suppose that I am an example of that myself. Appearance wise, I am pretty prim and proper. I look, in every respect, like a respectable suburban housewife. Some might even take me for a devout christian lady. I doubt anybody looking at me would suspect that I have unusual....tastes.
