Even though I took TWO benadryl before starting the yard work I'm still having the itchy, runny nose and sneezing. Before too long the eyes will be scratchy. Damn weed eaters.

On a bright note that cool moisture holding hat that I got for hiking is really keeping my head nice and cool. :) I haven't tried the bandana that goes with it yet but maybe next time.

I'm deathly allergic to hay, but it doesn't stop me from riding my horses. I've found that paint masks help a lot. You know, those things that look like turtle shells that fit over your mouth and nose? Yeah, it looks goofy, but it's better than sneezing my head off all day. Clear goggles help with the itchy, watery, red eyes problem, too.

Also, I have no idea how much it rains where you live, but if you can do things like that after it's rained, it settles the dust and pollen and whatnot down some, so that there's not as much crap in the air to breathe.

You have my sympathy. We decided to clear the garden at our front door today so it wouldn't completely block the door before we get back in 2 weeks...even though it wasn't much, we both came in itching and scratching and sneezing.

I know how you feel, even with Zyrtec and Flonase, i still have to wear a mask when cutting grass to keep from getting a sinus infection from one cut. :(

You have my sympathies.

I can't cut grass. Period. No amount, or type, of allergy medication will allow me to. Even with allergy meds, and sitting inside, the inside of my nose is one large scab from my runny nose. I sneeze enough that people teasingly call me 'sneezy'. My eyes water enough that I can't keep eyeliner or mascara on for more than an hour or so.
