Jesus is our lord and savior

"Then why do you alter the Law to suit yourselves? In a thousand ways, you have perverted not only Moses, but the Nazarene, and you have done so since the blasphemous Paul of Tarsus said, 'Christ is the end of the Law'. You are neither Hebrew nor Galilean, but opportunists." Julian, by Gore Vidal (a splendid American author, if you ask me)

my thread here will continue to grow and i will continue to post daily messages about the word of god, thanks for reading everyone and feel free to email me with questions that i will try to answer. many have sent me messages and said they were to ashamed of what others would think so they did not reply in my post so this i do understand. the wicked will turn away from the word of god and mock him as all sinners do. they are the ones filled with shame please remeber that. frank

Your fake, justified Christianity mocks God, you fruitcake.

Are you a child of God? Is God your Father? Are you sure? To be mistaken on this point, is to make the greatest blunder of your life. Has God been made to be your Father through the divine adoption? There is no other way. You and I are not natural born children of the King. We were born as filthy outcasts, enemies of God by nature, confirming our exclusion from God's family by our continual sinful behavior. If left to our natural selves, we would, even today, run headlong down the path of iniquity, filling up our sins and bringing upon ourselves the wrath of God to the uttermost. We do not, by nature, exemplify the character of the Heavenly Father. Rather, we are "by nature, children of wrath," "sons of disobedience," and children of another father (John 8:44).

Paul said that he was the "chief of sinners." He was very aware of his wickedly sinful heart. The Law of God showed him what a sinner he was. Among other things, he blasphemed the name of God; he was a covetous idolater, and a murderer of Christians. He knew that he deserved death but God had given him mercy. Instead of giving Paul what he deserved, God showed him kindness and patience, which lead to Paul's repentance and faith in Christ. Paul loved God much because he knew he was forgiven much. And that love for God, cast out his fears of man, and compelled him to obey his Master, no matter what the cost.

Why is it that Christians seem so slavish in their dialogue? Calling Jesus "Master" and themselves "servants". There is something so servile about the whole business, it's most perplexing in free men and women.

To quote Lancelot from King Arthur (interesting film, though it butchered the history of Britannia), "I don't like anything that puts a man on his knees".

Kneeling during Mass was always difficult for me. One of the things that turned me off Catholicism. My wife doesn't grasp why, but I don't believe that pride is a sin, especially if it keeps you standing instead of bowing.

Ask the average Christian, "Are you ashamed of Jesus?" and he will more than likely adamantly answer, "Of course not. He's my Lord and Savior." This unashamed boldness to proclaim Christ is seen in the abundance of "Real men love Jesus" and other T-shirts that clearly identify the wearer as belonging to Jesus. Every Sunday millions faithfully attend churches that exalt the name of Jesus. There are more "fish" on cars than in the Atlantic Ocean. Gospel music resonates with love for Jesus, and even has the accolades of the secular music industry. Christ-exalting television and radio daily fill the airwaves. Add the fact that millions unabashedly jammed theaters to see a movie about Jesus of Nazareth, and you have to conclude that we as a nation are definitely not at all ashamed of Jesus Christ.

But look carefully at what Jesus told us about being ashamed of Him. He said, "Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels" (Mark 8:38). Notice that He said, "Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words." No, we don't have a problem with Jesus. It's His words we have a problem with.

Paul wrote to Timothy, "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord . . . but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel . . ." (2 Timothy 1:8, emphasis added). It is the testimony of Jesus that causes "sufferings for the gospel." The apostle John was banished to the Isle of Patmos "for the testimony of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 1:9). Revelation also tells us that it is those who "have the testimony of Jesus Christ" who receive persecution in the last days (Revelation 12:17).

What then does Scripture mean by the "testimony of our Lord"? What did Jesus testify? He specifically tells us in John 7:7: "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil" (emphasis added). He was hated because He testified against the sin of the world, and He preached about the reality of hell more than He did about heaven.

Jesus spoke of those who would be "ashamed" of Him and His words. "Ashamed" means to be "unwilling or restrained because of fear of shame, ridicule, or disapproval." Doesn't that pinpoint the problem? If "fear of shame, ridicule, or disapproval" makes us unwilling to testify of the words of Jesus to this lost and sinful world, then we are ashamed of Jesus and His words. That means, despite the fish, the music, the T-shirts, the trips to church and the movies, those who fit into the "ashamed" category may end up hearing Jesus denying that He even knew them (Matthew 7:21-23). He will be ashamed of them.

But there is hope. Scripture exhorts, "Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed . . . " (2 Timothy 2:15, emphasis added). You and I need not be ashamed. In other words, the problem has a solution. We are told to "study to show yourself approved to God." Study the subject of evangelism to learn how to share your faith. It's as simple as that. Proverbs 16:23 says, "The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips."

A great preacher once said, "It is the great business of every Christian to save souls. People complain that they do not know how to take hold of this matter. Why, the reason is plain enough; they have never studied it. They have never taken the proper pains to qualify themselves for the work. If you do not make it a matter of study, how you may successfully act in building up the kingdom of Christ, you are acting a very wicked and absurd part as a Christian."

Have you ever looked at Revelation 21:8 and wondered why the "fearful" are aligned with the "unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers [fornicators], and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars" and will be cast into the lake of fire? All these are obvious sins. Is being "fearful" therefore a "sin"? The word used in Scripture for "fearful" is the Greek word deilos, which is also used in Matthew 8:26 where the disciples became fearful during a storm. Jesus said, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" The "fearful" is a specific reference to those who lack faith in God, and it's used in a negative sense.

God has not given us the spirit of fear, but He has instead given us one of power, love, and a sound mind (see 2 Timothy 1:7). We have been given "power" to witness for Christ. We have "love" to cast out all fear, and we have "a sound mind" in Christ to faithfully testify to the truth of the gospel--that God is holy, that hell is real, and that the cross is the only way of escape.

"Foolishness" is a archaic word. "Stupid" is the modern equivalent, but its use is a little harsh in today's word-sensitive society. Nowadays we don't call people stupid, because we have no tolerance for intolerance.

We have come a long way since the days of condescension and bigotry. In fact, modern man has come a long way since the beginning of time, when we acted like animals towards each other. None of them really know when that "time" began, or even how we had our beginnings, but concerted efforts are being made to solve that dilemma. We spent $1.5 billion to build and put the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit, and spend another $230 million each year to keep it there to try and find our origins. Space may someday provide the answer. Meanwhile, the search keeps going to find our genesis...our humble human beginnings.

Our forefathers didn't have that dilemma. They knew when and where we came from. They simply believed that God made us "in the beginning," as the beginning of the Book of beginnings (Genesis) so clearly states. The question then is, when did not believing the Book of beginnings, begin? Who was the genius who first decided that we didn't believe Genesis, and why did anyone believe him?

Genesis-less-ness has left modern society in the dilemma of creating even more questions. What is the purpose of our existence? Where is the missing link? And what did come first, the chicken or the egg? Again, our forefathers knew the answers. They believed that God made us for Himself, that there was no missing link--because every animal brought forth after its own kind, and that the first chicken came first, and the first egg came second.

But enlightened mankind rejects Genesis and hasn't the foggiest idea who laid what when. They don't know where they came from, what they're doing here, or where they are ultimately going. They do know that they are going to die, yet they don't know what causes death, what happens after death, or what to do about it.

They don't even know what makes a murderer murder. Experts have studied the profiles of multitudes of murderers so that we can better understand why they kill. With more than 600,000 who have committed murder (just in the U.S. since 1970) to study, they should have come up with a clear and common profile. But they haven't. This is because they consider themselves too wise to believe the Book. It says that the common denominator is that they have a human nature, and that nature is inherently evil.

The Bible also says that the wisdom of this world is "foolishness" (Greek moros: "stupidity") with God. It also says that when men profess themselves to be wise, they become fools (stupid). I have seen this often, when atheists attempt to discredit those who believe the Bible by quoting history books that were written around the time of Christ. They blindly believe the historical recordings of men without a second thought.

The Bible calls those who deny a Creator, a fool (stupid). Only dim-witted folks would say that a painting didn't have a painter, that a building didn't have a builder, and that creation had no Creator. These same folks often have blind faith in the theory of evolution. They believe a theory as though it were fact, and look down on people who have a trust in God. As Napoleon said, they believe anything "as long as it's not in the Bible." This is because it is a moral book. From Genesis to Revelation it accuses us of sin.

However, the epitome of human stupidity is so evident in the fact that God offers everlasting life to whoever wants it, and nobody seems to care. It seems that our stupidity began its evolutionary process in the species at the very moment sin entered the human race. But its progress is stopped the moment God gives a sinner His Holy Spirit at the new birth. It is then that we receive a "sound mind"(2 Timothy 1:7). Thank God for His intervening hand of grace, for without it we would still be sinking into the quicksand of this world's insanity: "for we ourselves also were sometimes foolish [stupid], disobedient, deceived, serving different lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another" (Titus 3:3).

Contrary to what many have thought in the past, America is not antagonistic towards the things of God. According to a 2004 CNN poll, an incredible 87% wanted "under God" kept in the Pledge of Allegiance. Contrary to expectations, the blockbuster movie, 'The Passion of the Christ' proved that Americans had an interest in God by grossing hundreds of millions of dollars. Just after the film was released a Gallup Poll News Service* said, "Three in four Americans have seen or expect to see it."

The New York Times** said, "Hollywood producers and studio executives, witnessing overwhelming success of 'The Passion of the Christ,' are reconsidering whether they have been neglecting large segments of American audience eager for openly religious movies..."

A new book I have just written, called, What Hollywood Believes explores an area that has rarely been examined before--the faith of the famous. This hasn't been an easy task. It has taken a great deal of meticulous research. This is because actors in the past have been strongly discouraged from making public their thoughts about God. Up until the success of "The Passion of the Christ," Hollywood had been under the illusion that America wasn't interested in God. That's because the town lives in a world of its own. It doesn't resemble core America. Gallup polls reveal that over 90% of Americans believe in God, and that as many as 40% attend worship services regularly, but this hasn't been reflected in the movies or on television.***

A survey conducted among the 104 top television writers and executives found that, of the 104 who were asked if adultery was wrong only, 49% said it was. That means that 51% maintained that they believe that adultery is morally right. Meanwhile 85% of the rest of America believes adultery is wrong.

When questioned if they had any religious affiliation, Hollywood came in at 45% saying that they didn't, while the percentage of Americans who had no religious affiliation was a mere 4%.

It is therefore a sad irony that when legendary film maker Cecil B. DeMille (the director of the epic movie, "The Ten Commandments") first came to California in the early 1900's, he settled in a small town that was said to be a "Christian" settlement that was giving away free land to anyone who was willing to build a place of worship. The town had a picturesque name--Hollywood.****

Hollywood isn't the only town with a forgotten godly heritage. Did you know that as you walk up the steps to the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington D.C., near the top of the building there is a row of the world's law givers? Each one is facing Moses, who is in the middle, holding the Ten Commandments. As you enter the Supreme Court, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door. As you sit inside the courtroom, you will see another display of the Ten Commandments--this one is directly above where the Supreme Court resides.

James Madison, the fourth President--known as "The Father of Our Constitution," said, "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

So, if you love the Lord and care about the lost, forget the enemy's lies that you have believed in the past, about people not wanting to know about God. Take advantage of their openness to speak to them about the only issue that really matters in this life--their eternal salvation.

The truth about satan!

Most people don't think about the subject of Satanism unless there is a grisly murder, and satanic symbols are found at the crime scene. Many who believe in the devil, usually think of him as being the darkest of figures. What they don't realize is that the Bible tells us that he can also manifest himself as an "angel of light." In reference to false converts within the Church, the Bible says:

For such men are false apostles [spurious, counterfeits], deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles (special messengers) of Christ . . . And it is no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light; So it is not surprising if his servants also masquerade as ministers of righteousness... 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (Amplified Bible)

Satan is incredibly subtle. We are warned that he uses professing men of God (ministers of righteousness) to deceive the Church. The Bible calls him "the god of this world," and says that he blinds the minds of unbelievers. Jesus called him "the prince of this world," and "the father of lies."

The Scriptures continually warn the Church against his wiles (his methods), using words such as "be not deceived," and telling us to "be vigilant." Well, has our Satan had any influence on you and me? Is there any deception with the Church? That's what we are going to look at closely. We are going to look at perhaps the greatest and most subtle of Satan's deceptions.

You may not be familiar with the story Jesus told of the Prodigal Son, so let's take a moment to consider what it says. The Prodigal Son asked his father for his inheritance, then went into a far country and spent all his cash on parties and prostitutes. He enjoyed "the pleasures of sin." But after a famine hit the land, his money ran out, and the only job he could get was feeding pigs.

He became so hungry that he found himself desiring the food that the pigs were eating. Suddenly, he "came to himself"--he came to his senses. Realizing that even his father's servants had it better than he did, he decided to return and say, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. Take me on as a hired servant." So he got up out of the pigsty and went back to his father.

His father was looking for his son's return, and the Bible says that "he saw him while he was yet a great way off." He ran to his son, fell upon him, kissed him, and rejoiced that he had returned. He freely forgave him and returned him to his former state.

This is a picture of every person before they come to Christ. We turned from God to serve the devil and the pleasures of sin. The Bible says that there is a "spirit" that works in the children of disobedience. 1 John 3:8 says "He that commits sin is of the devil..." Jesus even told the religious hypocrites of His day that their father was the devil:

You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

Unsaved people live in the Kingdom of Darkness. It's as simple as this, if we are serving sin, we are serving Satan. Our appetites are unclean. We desire pig food. Consider what we crave. Think of the contents of the average soap opera or prime time television show --adultery, jealously, lust, fornication, rape, gossip, and greed. Or the average movie today with its violence, filthy language, explicit sex, and graphic murder.

Look at the covers of magazines in bookstores and supermarkets. They are "soft-core" pornography, which a few years ago was considered hard-core and hidden from young eyes. Think of video games that kids crave--they are extremely violent and sexually perverted. Think of most rock music, with its explicit sexuality, its blasphemy, and its dark Satanic side. Consider the Internet's multi-billion dollar hard-core porn industry, or how the average person uses filthy words and blasphemy in every day speech. Life in the dirty pigsty is normal, natural, and completely acceptable.

Yes, Satan is the god of this world, and he has deceived millions. But his deception hasn't stopped there. It has moved into the Church. Despite what the Bible says, that Satan is real, that he's a deceiver, and the god of this world who blinds minds, look at what has happened--according to the Barna Research Group:

In 2004, an incredible 50% of those who profess to be "born again" actually deny Satan's existence.

That's unbelievable! Despite the revelation of Scripture, 50% of those who profess to be born again actually deny Satan's existence. And the scary thing about denying Satan, is that if you deny that he exists, you let your guard down--you let him bring in deception. The place to corrupt the Church is at the point of entry... to poison evangelistic message that brings people into the Kingdom of God.

That's what has happened. We haven't been vigilant. We have allowed Satan to contaminate the biblical method of evangelism. We have allowed certain "ministers of righteousness" within the Church to move away from Scripture. They refuse to use the Law (the Ten Commandments) to bring the knowledge of sin (as Jesus did), and show sin to "be exceedingly sinful." This is despite the fact that even the Apostle Paul said that he didn't know what sin was without the Law. They say that they have found a shortcut to bring people to salvation. They leave out the Law and instead take the prodigal back to the father, without showing him that his appetites are unclean.

Remember that in the story Jesus told, the prodigal "came to his senses" when he realized that he desired pig food. That's what made him want to go back to his father and say "I have sinned against heaven and in yours sight, make me your hired servant." In the name of sensitivity, modern preachers don't let that happen. They shortcut that process. So instead of the professed convert saying to the Father "I have sinned against Heaven. Make me your servant," he goes to God and says, "I have run out of money. Give me some more. You be my servant."

And that's what's wrong with the modern church. It is filled with unconverted people who have never seen that their sinful appetites are unclean. Modern preachers have left out the Law, and so we have multitudes in pulpits and in pews who don't see sin as exceedingly sinful. So they look on God as their servant. Instead of saying, "Make me your servant," they say "Give me more!"

Aleister Crowley (who died in 1947), is considered to be the father of modern Satanism. In his publication called, The Book of the Law, he sums up the essence of Satanism. It is: "do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."

And that sums up the desires of many who profess to have faith in Jesus Christ. Their lack of concern for the lost shows that something is radically wrong. They have never given up their selfish will, and cried, "Not my will but Yours be done." They have never sought to serve God by doing His will by reaching out to the unsaved.

Remember that Bill Bright said that only 2% of the contemporary church in American share their faith regularly with others. All they want is what they can get from God--health, wealth and prosperity. Listen to most modern preaching. It caters to nothing but selfishness. It's self seeking, self serving, and self-centered. The modern church has become the last days Laodicean church, who says that it's rich and in need of nothing, but it is in truth, poor, blind, wretched, miserable and naked.

How can this great multitude be awakened to this deception? Simply by helping them look into the mirror--by seeing themselves under the light of God's Law--the Ten Commandments. Every professing Christian should obey the admonition to "Examine yourself to see if you are in the faith." But many won't. They think they are saved because they call Jesus Lord, and do miracles in His name. They will wait until the Day of Judgment and cry "Lord, Lord, we did many wonderful works in your name," and Jesus will say to them, "Depart from Me. You worker of Lawlessness. I never knew you." They are still in their sins.

Martin Luther said, "The first duty of the gospel preacher is to declare God's Law and show the nature of sin." Then he said, "This now is the Christian teaching and preaching, which God be praised, we know and possess, and it is not necessary at present to develop it further, but only to offer the admonition that it be maintained in Christendom with all diligence. For Satan has attacked it hard and strong from the beginning until present, and gladly would he completely extinguish it and tread it under foot." After the Apostle Paul was converted on the Road to Damascus, Jesus said to him,

But rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness . . . To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins . . . Acts 16-18

If you know this same Jesus, you too have the same commission--"to open their eyes, and to turn [sinners] from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins..." The way to do that is to do it the way Paul did it. The way Jesus did it. Learn to follow the biblical method of using the Law (the Ten Commandments) to show why this sinful world why they need the Savior.

Nazi's, Jews and Jesus

I'm always encouraged when I ask someone if they are a Christian and they answer "No. I'm Roman Catholic." It confirms something that most Catholics know but it seems that the world doesn't know. There is a difference between biblical Christianity and Roman Catholicism. Although the Roman church holds to some of the main tenants of the Christian faith, at its core it has its own entity. It has many high-held traditions that are not found in the Bible. They are Roman Catholic traditions.

Consequently, it shouldn't surprise us that Jews are very difficult to reach with the gospel. This is because many of them equate Christianity with Roman Catholicism. And why shouldn't they? When they glance at the television news at Christmas or at Easter, who is upheld by the secular world as "the head of the Christian Church"? It's the pope.

Jews therefore believe that Christians bow down to graven images and they worship Mary and many other saints. To them, Christianity is a false religion, and one that should be kept at arm's length because at its very core it is in direct violation of the First and the Second of the Ten Commandments.

Many Jews even equate Christianity with Adolf Hitler. Central to his twisted philosophy was a belief in the inherent superiority of the German race. But Christianity doesn't preach superiority. It instead preaches that you are to love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. Jesus even said to love our enemies, to pray for those that despitefully use us, to turn the other cheek, to give to those that ask of us--to do good to all men. Biblical Christianity is soaked in love of humanity, while Hitler's philosophy was saturated in the blood of pure hatred. So it makes no sense that anyone in his right mind could confuse the two . . . until we understand something important.

In pre-Second World War Germany, there were 40 million Lutherans. It is significant to realize that to be part of the Lutheran church in those days one need not be converted to Christ. You were simply baptized into the church as a baby because you had to be a member to be married or buried. That was just the way it was. If you for some reason wanted to separate yourself from the church, your name would be read from the pulpit for three Sundays, and intercession was then made for you in public prayer. Consequently few took the radical step of leaving the church.

For years the denomination had been influenced by a theological liberalism that was really only secular philosophy disguised by religious language. So rather than being a vibrant Christ-centered lighthouse of biblical truth, the Lutheran church of that time (as with many contemporary denominations), was simply a huge traditional institution. (1)

After the First World War, Germany went into a massive recession. Adolf Hitler rose to political power by promising a return to dignity and prosperity for the German nation. He became their political "savior." Songs were sung in his honor -- "Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, and all is bright. Adolf Hitler is Germany's wealth. Brings us greatness, favor and health. Oh give us Germans all power!"(2)

In 1932, Hitler appointed a man named Hermann Mueller to be head of the newly formed "German Christian Party." There was nothing "Christian" about this party. It was merely a front for the Nazis to gain political strength through the massive Lutheran church. Hermann Mueller was then nominated as a candidate for the head of the church and vast amounts of money was spent on publicity.

The Nazis intimidated anyone who opposed their nominee, and when voting day came the only choice was: "Do you agree with the Fuehrer that Mueller must be Reichsbishop--Yes or No?" The Lutheran candidate wasn't even on the ballot.

With Mueller as head of the church the Nazis then had the power to appoint other leaders. Pastors who protested were either murdered and their churches closed, or they quietly disappeared into concentration camps. They were then replaced by Nazi "pastors," crosses at altars were replaced with pictures of Hitler, and Swastika flags were flown above their roofs.

These politically appointed pastors preached that any teaching about the existence of "sin" was false, and had created a complex of weakness in the German people. Biblical Christianity held them back from fulfilling their true destiny. They maintained that the German race was divine, and that God had chosen a new anointed leader -- the blessed Hitler. He had been the savior that had been "lifted up" and "would draw all men to himself(3)." He would bring Germany into a new glory -- a thousand year reign.

The pastors rejected the Old Testament, saying that it wasn't a Christian book -- that its teachings had allowed the unclean and subtle doctrines of the Jew to dominate German thinking. No non-Aryan could hold any place of office in the church and anyone with Jewish roots must be purged from it. If someone had any Jewish ancestors he was encouraged to commit suicide. They said that it was a service to God to protect His worship from pollution -- to join German with German and not to darken the nostrils of Heaven with the sour, decaying breath of a Jew. The day had come "when the tares would be gathered and burned in the fire."
But the Nazis soon found that pushing their politics from pulpits emptied church pews, so they began to meekly cloak their political agenda in biblical phraseology. Over time this left many of the more simple folk unable to distinguish the true pastor from the false.

On April 26, 1933, Hitler had said, "Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without religious foundation is built on air; consequently all character training and religion must be derived from faith . . .(4)" But he later declared Nazism the state religion and the Bible was replaced by Mein Kampf in the schools. Throughout Germany he also removed pastors from their weekly hour of religious instruction in schools, and replaced them with Nazi pastors, who subtly indoctrinated German youth with teachings about their superior "Aryan blood." They mocked the Bible, and told them not to worship God but to worship the state, and Adolf Hitler as its head. Their one aim was to destroy what they referred to as their "last enemy"--Christianity. Ironically, the Nazi military machine had belt buckles that boldly said "Gott mit uns" ("God is with us")(5).

This secular German philosophy taught that Jesus was not a Jew at all, but an Aryan, and that he didn't have a Jewish father. He was a warrior and a hero who died in the fight against Judaism. They even twisted Scripture to say that Jesus Himself called the entire Jewish race "children of the devil," and thus began the terrible purging of the Jews from Germany. This was done by "pastors" in pulpits and in schools in the guise of the Christian faith. So tragically, in the eyes of many Jews, the evil of Nazism came directly through the Christian church.

As a result, when you and I approach a Jew with a New Testament in our hand, or a cross around our neck and sweetly say, "I would like to talk to you about Jesus," to them we may be saying, "Hi, I represent an institution that is filled with pedophiles, bows down to idols, worships false gods, and was responsible for the murder of six million Jews." No wonder they are reluctant to talk to us.

That's why when we talk to a Jew about God, we must start with Moses. Then we simply take them through the Ten Commandments to show them that they have sinned against God and that they desperately need a Savior. If their heart is humble, we should then unashamedly reveal the love of God displayed in the cross -- that God Himself provided a Lamb for our atonement, and trust in His great faithfulness to bring them to everlasting life that is alone in Jesus Christ.

my latest contributions seemed well written for this site since so many here worship false gods and idols even a few consider satan their choice of worship. there is only one true god and he is a loving god that loves everyone including the ones that deny his presence. frank
