Where did the writers go?

You know the ones. The ones who were curious about aspects of writing because writing meant something like cumming. The ones interested in sex because it was - FUCKING EXCITING. The ones who wanted to get it right because it happened before they were born and they transported us there. The ones who did not complain about not getting a "hot" score on Lit. Where did those writers go?

Switzerland. The whole lot of 'em.

Can't blame them. It's a beautiful place.

To answer the original question, who knows? Maybe they went off, got married, and had sextuplets. Or they realized they could make money off their writing. Or they found that the Lit readership didn't care for what they had to offer. Or...

Oh, new version of "There are no writerly threads on the AH anymore." :)

Hi, Charley.

Writing, to me, is only like cumming in the sense that you may be glad it's finally over. I don't go back and re-work the parts of sex where I misplaced a comma, or accidentally changed POV, or felt I could have licked her clit with showing instead of telling. Writing is hard work; sex shouldn't be so difficult.

The few things I've put on Lit were written like sex, just flowing out, improvised more than carefully contrived like good fiction, brought to a climax, but corrected for spelling and grammar before sending it off.

Hi, Charley.

new and improved. ;)

We're all still here, Charley....just doing other things: traveling, having way too many kids over at the house all fucking day  ; etc.

Sex, to you and me, is different. :)

Sorry, I wandered off on walk-about, then got lost in the weeds on the side of the road. If it wasn't for the nice lady down the street, I would never have made it back here. I'll try harder next time I promise.

Foggy as hell. Expensive as nobody's business. Full of short women. Must be the altitude.
EEKS! Short women! Believe me, I know that in Portugal. Nice buns here, though.

Wait, there are erotic writers out there that have actual sex?

I really enjoy the implicit 'we' in the responses. (to this thread)

and what's an OP. I know what an OP is in newspapers and magazines but why do some people here (Roxleby) call the original post in a thread OP?

If you don't have a good answer (by my judgement) then just pack it in.
