Of course you can. I can use the bible to argue for the eradication of a race of my choice. In fact, I can use the bible to say anything I want. Please note, that if you do not read and understand Greek and Hebrew, you have never read the bible. NKJV alone has over 10,000 errors of translation, regarding issues of heaven, hell, salvation, and sin. I think you'd be very surprised to read an intelligent comparison of what the modern bible "says," and what original scripture advocated.

I'm an Atheist. I have no guilt or shame about surfing porn sites. Not only do they know - most of them have seen what I have.

There was no mockery in those comments. I understand the bible very well. I studied it for years. I attended school. I have read it through many times. I have pored over various versions. I have been mentored by educated leaders in the church. I have played protege to itinerary speakers. Unlike you, I understand that the bible is a conglomeration of poetry and oral history. I have studied the events, politics, and cultural factors that led to the compilation of the modern bible. Did Mr. Bentley cover all that in his revival meeting?

I respect the bible as I respect many religious writings. But it can be interpreted many different ways, and it is not infallible.

And I'm not sure where controlling a man's life came into that. There doesn't seem to be any logical connection between any of your comments.

And lucky me, I was baptised as a Catholic. We don't believe in that saved bullshit. I can do whatever I want, act like an asshole day in and day out, steal fuck and kill. So long as I confess at the end, it's all forgiven. Much better deal than your bible pounding if you ask me.
