As in "So if Obama draws a big crowd that must mean that you want a President who's only good at entertaining".

How many you spot today?

Plenty.

e.g. "Anybody who disagrees with someone against Obama must also think that anti-Obama person is a racist."

I understand that while he was speaking they all were playing cell phone Tetris. The cheers coincided with every beaten level. Weird.

Straw. Grab. Repeat.

When he draws a crowd of rock fans are we to believe they came to "entertained" by him? Are we to assume they didn't show up for the band?

Pop Concert for Obama Fans ++

6:33 p.m.: The tens of thousands of Obama fans are being entertained as they await the senator. The reggae musician Patrice kicked things off, followed by the rock band Reamonn.

Illustration via Pitchfork Media | NewsBusters.orgFrom CNN to the New York Times, the media hyped Barack Obama's Portland, Oregon rally on Sunday, some comparing him to a rock star.

Unmentioned in national reporting was the fact that Obama was preceded by a rare, 45-minute free concert by actual rock stars The Decemberists. The Portland-based band has drawn rave reviews from Rolling Stone magazine, which gave their 2005 album Picaresque four and a half stars (out of five), and another four and a half stars for 2007's The Crane Wife.

Patrice.

Reamonn.

The Decemberists.

Out of all the above three, which ones did you have to Google to find out info about because you never heard of them until today? Or do you have their CDs playing in the background whenever you make ham sandwiches for lunch every day?

Fuck, Madison Square Garden better cancel their tours when they hit up NYC this summer... I don't think the venue can handle the inevitable bum rush.

Nobody actually voted for Obama, either. They all thought they were buying Coldplay tickets.

You sure it was Coldplay? I thought it was Radiohead! :D

Oh wait, my bad...they're actually going to give out their next album for free on the web, along with a preceding QuickTime video of Obama giving a speech, just to make sure they get enough download hits.

The Pentagon gives ciggies to the troops. Obama smokes Kools. Obama must be in the Army.

Anytime I read a post with "I guess that means..." somewhere in the middle, I know I'm in for a good ride.
