I've never heard of a condom recycling bin before. Pretty sure they wouldn't be used. It's just the Chinese up to their super efficient little ways again.

I normally use scrunchies - pony tail holders aren't big enough to do any good. To keep my hair IN a ponytail takes three of them.

okay yeah that's kinda gross, but i think it's great that SOMEONE found a use for those. i mean, if you don't make them into something they're just going to sit around and not decompose.

I agree! I have to admit I'm kind of laughing at those of you that are "ewwww'ing" lol (not in a mean way!). It's just plastic, honestly. If it were actually USED condoms I would think different but since that is very very highly unlikely, I'm content to laugh at you all for a bit. *grin*

Well, if they were using used condoms it's possible that it'd spread stds - I use my hands that have cuts on them (sometimes) to put rubber bands in mine and my girl's hair.

But, I sincerely doubt that they're using used condoms. As I said, where would they get them? And, snopes didn't say that that part was true, just that they were possibly using defective condoms.

That said, yes it's racist. Whoever is building on the panic caused by the lead paint toys. That's reality and why you double check your sources, like etoile and desi did.
