So, here's a place to post your personal "Music To Fuck To" and/or "Music To Make Love To" playlists. (The two can be so fabulously different, y'know?)
To take nothing away from the I Am Music or Radio Free Jezebel threads, this is all about the nookie. Sort of a soundtrack to the Naked thread. One or two songs or a whole set. Whatever gets you there, post it here.

Have fun.

Lil louis French kiss or that old timer Je T'aime how about Jimi Hendrix Voodoo child if you want a bit of rhythm

I am all over this thread. What an excellent idea.

We'll just call this set Scene me to This.

Or maybe the title should be Golly, I can only hope he could tolerate the soundtrack long enough to fuck me. Maybe after a while he won't notice it.

Set the mood with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Get me into a complete altered state with
Lush

Then crank the Adrian Belew, of all things

Trance me out and hit it hard to BT

Major hoodoo from Juno Reactor

And maybe come back down a bit to some Sneaker Pimps and a little Tricky.

I'll put some Kate Bush on while you're making me a fried egg sandwich.

just the first set. I'm sure there will be more.

excellent thread.

bj

eta: sassy, just saw your first set; i've been interrupted about 16 times while I was doing this post this afternoon.

You are now officially my New York girlfriend. Couldn't of course find the artist, but here's a mediocre cover of "all the critics love u in new york." You deserve the original, but we know how that is.

I, too, have a mile long list. Could be anything from sexy Marvin Gaye, like After the Dance to Sam and Dave whose music sounds like pure sex to me to Wilson Pickett. I'm old school; Midnight Hour gets me hawt. And jazz and blues, well, if eagleyez lights some candles and slow dances with me to Lady Day, he knows I'm toast. :)

I saw Adrien Belew with King Crimson on the Discipline tour a zillion years ago. He's got it going. Like in this song.

Music covers up wet-sex sounds.

Does not! I have good discrimination for sex sounds.

You, dear BJ, have hit my nail on its head with NIck Cave and the Bad Seeds. I have worn out countless cd's , I mean seer---eiously.

Do You Love Me ( Like I love you) and that one is a classic for all us BDSM fans :D

Nobody's Baby Now

Deanna

The Carney Song

Henry Lee

and, one of my all time faves, so eerie yet so romantic,
Where the Wild Roses Grow

"On the last day I took her where the wild roses grow
And she lay on the bank, the wind light as a thief
And I kissed her goodbye, said, "All beauty must die"
And lent down and planted a rose between her teeth"

and thats how I want to die.
abandoned and unfound, except for a mound of blood red roses by a river that I love.

Red Right Hand was used in an episode of the X Files years ago, thats how I "discovered" them ;)

Damn you......get out of my head!!! I've got to remember to draw the blinds from now on. :p That whole list is lethal. *swoons*
I knew what that Sam and Dave song was before I even clicked it. :)
Do not get me started on the Marvin Gaye tunes.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to sit cross-legged with a gallon of iced.... anything.

Music covers up wet-sex sounds.

Uh uh......not if you're doin' it right.

Pssh, what I said below.

I've got my own baseline and don't need a band to make a fucking soundtrack.

Well, I'm all about the sounds, too. And let's not forget the voices. :)

And Sassy, we're just separated at birth. Cause I know you love this stuff, too. Like:

Al Green (The man has his arm in a cast in this video and he's still sexy as all get out! Something about that beat.)

Smokey Robinson. Oh God that voice. Like silk.

But then yknow I love to make out to Lucinda Williams, who E-dub says has a voice that sounds like well he likes her voice. So do I.

And Chrissy Hynde's voice really rocks it, too.

I could go on.

Off the top of my head, I can think of one song: Moments in Love by The Art of Noise. As a matter of fact, its the last line in my Anatomy of An Orgasm poem posted in my submission page here.

I have one that isnt good to do it to. Found out the hard way, "Burnin' Down the House"

The guy had his stereo on and when that began playing, I just lost it, laffing my ass off, we never did finish....

Rock on then......a capella works too.

ETA: NJ, sick fuckers are welcome as long as they're friendly, and bring good booze. :D

OHHH!! I love you! I'm usually sweet and will bring Tequila if you dont mind me clothes falling off ;)

here's one for when you're alone...

Wish You were Here

NJ, you're singing my song. Any woman who is into Pink Floyd AND tequila could almost get me to leave my wife. Almost. And I certainly wouldn't mind your clothes falling off to Pink Floyd.

I'm more into themes than particular songs, but to single a couple of Floyd pieces out...

Shine On You Crazy Diamond suite can always play in the background,
Great Gig in the Sky from Dark Side...
and Comfortably Numb

I'm also with Angeline on the whole Smokey Robinson/Marvin Gaye thing sometimes, and Isaac Hayes gets AA so hot that he can be on my stereo anytime we're alone.

Or blues guitar--Stevie Ray, Dave Gilmour playing blues (I have an incredible piece of tape he gave me that he recorded as background music for a documentary), Clapton, Buddy Guy (love Buddy Guy...), Keb Mo, the list goes on...

hey cheffie!!!

How is everything going so far? I have "been away" again, but I came back,...usually do.

I know I posted some links to some "weird" music, but I just love the Platters and so many of the Motown singers, I remember my mom listening to the radio all the time when I was little. I then got a dose of hillbilly rock like Goose Creek and Allman Brothers and Charlie Daniels from my daddy. and then my kids...well, they turned me on to the heavier stuff. I actually took my eldest girl, Manda,t o her first concert, it was Metallica when they played in Charlotte about 10 years ago. It was fucking awesome. I swear, the ground shook, my whole body shook from the sound. I will never forget that.

Then, my youngest took string classes from fifth grade on,. she plays the viola and we had slews of concerts over the years. I love classical music, too.

But my favorite Pink Floyd album is The Wall. The story is something only they could come up with that would apply to so many people. It saddens me at times and sends me off to dreamland at others. My second fave is Animals. That is one strange collection of music there.

Good to see you and I hope you have a Tequila kinda day

smoochies ;)

oh yeah, their collection of dance songs is reallly good too. :)

I think I answered this question before with two, I think pretty obvious for me, selections:
  • Metallica, especially Master of Puppets. I mean, it's got a (really fast) beat and I can fuck to it.
  • Tristan und Isolde. I know that opera, particularly Wagnerian opera, is not everyone's taste. Or much of anyone's taste around here, 'cept me. But the music is gloriously sensuous and its passion washes over you again and again. I mean, it's gotta be pretty freakin' good music to get you to believe that those two 300 lb. loads up on stage who aren't doing a thing but singing to each other are overcome with desire. And if you see a really good performance, you do believe it.

I posted Birgit Nilsson the other night. Just to change things around a bit, here's Waltraud Meier at La Scala singing the Liebestod.

Oh, one other thing. Unlike those quick little three minute pop songs you guys is mostly citing, Tristan clocks in at just under four hours. Gives a guy the time to be a bit more exploratory, y'know?
I do have to say, though, that it's really kinda irrelevant what I think makes for great fucking/lovemaking music. If it would make my partner itchy, I'd put the goddam Partridge Family on. Just sayin'.

I am loving Sneaker Pimps! Nice Nick Cave cut too. You always put me on to something new. One of the coolest things about music threads.

  • It need not be anyone's taste but your own. ;)

Partridge Family, huh? LOL! Check the bistro. I left you a little present. :D

I actually like that song.....just not to fuck to of course

Here are two songs that make for fabulous spontaneous sex.

Throb has a monstrous beat that hits in all the right places. This comes on in a club, and there's no hope of me making it home. Just slink of to the nearest dark corner or bathroom stall with him for a quickie.

Any Time, Any Place
is just as hot, but much more mellow. Kinda slow and intense...a very good thing.
