Well, all of your excellent mojo was felt at the terminal end of the wires attached to my anaesthesiologist's brain and he assured me that the morphine that caused my eyeballs to itch the last time he managed my case will be left out of the cocktail this time annnnd..

YES! My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday.. a week! And all those who poo poo our semi-socialized medicine setup as keeping people on long waiting lists can go fluff their own dusty penes...

Cheffapalooza! Most excellent news about your little M. I'm hoping that the move and the transition between health facilities proves uneventful and happens as smoothly as a Tim Horton's Iced Cap.

Good news, Champ. I'm currently waiting for a phone call from Hershey Medical Center to see when my next (and hopefully last) surgery is scheduled. I'm glad that I've never had any complications from anesthesia. Impending surgery is unnerving enough as it is.

One time when I came out of surgery apparently I was swearing like a trouper the nurse said she had never heard such disgusting language! Mind you later on I had good reason to swear when the surgeon told me I didn't have appendicitis at all and so they kept cutting and had a good rummage around and I had a ten inch scar instead of a tiny keyhole one then he had the gall to say it was just gastric probably won't happen again!! From then on until they let me out I couldn't keep a bit of food down and lost 2 stone in weight funny how the mind works isn't it?

I do that too when I come out from under anaesthetic. Years ago, after a root canal for which I had to be put under, the nurses came out and got my companion from the waiting room. They told him they really couldn't handle me and would he please take me home, despite the fact that I wasn't really awake.

Apparently, I was cussing like a sailor and being so verbally abusive they were all quite shocked.

My nails needed filled, but my surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow, so I thought I might as well take them off now instead of paying to get them done only to have to take them off in 2 weeks. I like having them done, but they are a pain in the ass sometimes.

Now, if you come toward me with fingernail clippers you may as well be holding a running chainsaw. I tend to get freaky and leave the room.
