I've been going a bit mad because when I was a kid in the 80s, I lived in LA, and listened to KROQ, which played 'alternative' music. So, most 80's music that gets played for nostalgia's sake these days barely resembles 'my' 80s music.
The stuff I grew up with were groups like
The Smiths
The Cure
Siouxsie and the Banshees
The Violent Femmes
The Damned
and songs like
I Love a Man in a Uniform
Fade to Grey
Anyone else have any long-lost, obscure favorites from the decade when video killed the radio star?
