But Ms. Appleby...I've only just arrived! I have my Author's Hangout invitation in hand from the BDSM Talk room and I was looking foreward to finding out more about my more racist nature from the very enlightened man at the head of the thread.

You see, all those years serving this country in the military, I had always wondered if I harbored some hidden hatered for not only those I medically cared for directly day to day but also for the unseen faces here in the states that I abhored without really even knowing it. I was hoping Mr./Mrs. Shemale would open my eyes to my evil ways.
( I love posts that are based on generalizations and random, paranoia-induced assumptions. )

And to think....I was shot at and had morters brought down on my pos. many times just so this enlightened, card-carrying individual could use the very right I fought to protect against me.

I wonder if any of these hillbilly, rebel flag waving moderators have been graciously allowing me to spread my racial disease for all these posts, acting as a hidden and secret engine to "keep the black man down" so to speak.
In today's age, I've noticed a reversal of sorts. Oh I know to say "reverse discrimination" is an oxymoron. Since "discrimination is what it is regardless of what direction it's going." <-- write that down.
But how "oppressed" are you really when you can take out your soap box and bash another race for your own culture's shortcomings and be completely free to do so.
Yet I, as an Irish/American (hey, I should have my own special designation too) feels that by speaking my mind on this subject I might be beset on all sides by angry individuals the second I hit the "Post" button?

I am one who believes in "freedom for all" and "the american dream", etcetera, etcetera.
(it's hard to fight for something for over a decade and not have it in your veins)

But I had a discussion with a fellow military member (could you imagine, he was actually darker skinned then me!!) about this very subject.
A very interesting individual. And it was HE who told me this story about he and his Grandfather when he was young.

They entered an open-air market on a shopping trip. His grandfather stopped him and pointed to two tanks. After a moment his curiousity compelled him to ask about the two tanks of different crab. One had a wire mesh over it. The other was open to the air.
He asked his grandfather why this was.
His grandfather looked at him and said, "The one with the cage over top....that's to keep those crab in. You see, those crab have a habbit of piling up on one another to make a ladder. And they keep getting out of the tank. White folk are like that. They band together to help eachother." And so Mike asked his Grandfather about the second tank. His grandfather said, "Those crab don't need a cover. As soon as one makes progress towards the top, the others will pull him back down and climb over him. Too many of our people are like that. Always help others. "

AIDS

In 2005, blacks accounted for 50% of the AIDS cases diagnosed in the U.S, while being only 13% of the total population.

The rate of AIDS diagnoses for blacks overall was 10 times the rate for whites and nearly 3 times the rate for Hispanics. The rate of AIDS diagnoses for black women was nearly 23 times the rate for white women. The rate of AIDS diagnoses for black men was 8 times the rate for white men.

During 2005, among men, 41% of men living with HIV/AIDS were black, and among women, 64% of women living with HIV/AIDS were black.

During 2001–2004, 61% of all people under the age of 25 diagnosed with HIV/AIDS were black.

Gonorrhea

The gonorrhea rate among blacks was 18 times greater than that for whites in 2006. From 2005 to 2006, the gonorrhea rate among African Americans increased by 6.3 percent—the first increase since 1998. In 2006, blacks accounted for 69 percent of reported cases of gonorrhea.

Currently, 15- to 19-year-old black women still have the highest gonorrhea rate of any group (2,898.1 per 100,000 population).

In 2006, the gonorrhea rate among black men was 25 times higher than that among white men; the gonorrhea rate among black women was 14 times higher than that among white women.

Chlamydia

In 2006, the rate of chlamydia among blacks was more than eight times higher than the rate among whites, with approximately 46 percent of all chlamydia cases reported among blacks. The rate of reported chlamydia in black females was more than seven times that of white females and more than twice that of Hispanic females. The rate among black men was more than 11 times higher than that among white men.

Syphilis

In 2006, 43.2% of all cases of syphilis reported to CDC were among blacks. In 2006, the rate of syphilis in black females was 16 times higher than in white females, while the rate among black men was more than five times higher than that among white men; This represents a substantial decline from 1999, when the rate among blacks was 29 times greater than among whites. Rates among black men have increased 25 percent in the past year and 99 percent since 2003. Rates among black women have increased 12 percent in the past year and 31 percent since 2003.

In 2006, the rate of congenital syphilis was 24.2 cases per 100,000 live births among African Americans, 15.1 times higher than the 2005 rate among whites.

Herpes

Blacks overall are 3 times more likely to have herpes.

No, KC, you actually failed in identifying the reason why this thread was started here, in the AH. I had experienced an act of overt racism (calling you the slang word for a primate, when you are African-American, is BIGOTRY and RACISM), and as an actual writer, decided to put my thoughts into a well written opinion piece on racism inside Lit. This has nothing to do with the BDSM people. They just decided to come over here, because someone on this forum, like several people on this site, thought that they could do the chain thing, and I would just go away. OK, I'll make it plain...WHITE FOLK, THIS BLACK PERSON IS NOT LEAVING. Clear enough now?
