Hi everyone.

I've been lurking here for a while now and I notice all the little trolls and it's usually quite comical to watch how you guys deal with them.

The reason I've signed up is because I want to spark an intellectual debate with you all regarding one of the most recent trolls, Breaking_News. I read his/her recent sig and have been reading his/her various newslinks and it's gotten me thinking, is he/she onto something? Even well known black public figures admit to the media covering up many black on white crimes. But I did some digging around because I was so intrigued by this issue and have found some overwhelming statistics that I think we should all look at and discuss.

Sure the report is old and from 1994, but as my third link will prove, these stats never really change. It is pretty damning and overwhelming evidence that black on white crime is the most common type of crime, is it not?

We can also use some figures from the FBI UCR Crime reports.Doing this shows that in 2002 while there was, according to the FBI UCR report, about 1 700 White on Black hate crimes, there were nearly 2 million Black on White crimes. Yet, while the statistics for hate crimes receive extensive media coverage, the statistics for interracial crimes are rarely mentionned. this is what leads to a mistaken and stereotyped vision of Euro-Americans and the way they relate to people of other races.

When you consider that the media is so biased as to keep race relations as peaceful as possible and that white serial killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgeway and John Wayne Gacy can be openly celebrated by making them as famous and knowledgable to the public as possible when black serial killers like Coral Eugene Watts (who is one of the most prolific serial murderers in history with over 80 kills) and The Washington Sniper, John Allan Muhammed are easily forgotten by the media and hardly discussed, doesn't that then make blacks far more responsible for todays violent crime as all the other races combined?

This board is always so proud and eager to prove they're intelligent, so let's try to discuss this like adults and not like "you racist!! You're going on 'iggy' now!!"

Infact, anybody that can't debate these issues like adults and announces that I am now on 'iggy' will only prove my point for me and that you can't intelligently refute these concrete statistics and that you can't say anything intelligent so the easy thing to do is ignore me.

I am not infact a racist and I am actually looking for a reason not to believe these stats. Of course, we can't generalize and not all black people are bad, but when so many are bad, is it not hard to remain open minded?

What do you all honestly think about these stats and do you honestly trust black people as much as you trust anybody else?

Those links are just what Google gave me after I typed "black on white crime" into the search engine. I only read the statistics and found them interesting. I know there's been some terrible white criminals in the past, but to be honest, I'm just worried about walking down my road and getting raped, robbed or murdered. If blacks are statistically more likely to do that to me then I need to know who to watch out for, ya know?

Honestly, I think blacks statistically make up a disproportionate proportion of violent crime. But I think things are headed in the right direction as I work with a lot of Blacks (both African-Americans and American Africans) and it has validated to me that there is a large non-violent silent, Black Middle Class that does not get represented in TV and lives normal peaceful lives and respects the rule of law (more or less as you or I do). I also think most young blacks are finally getting away from pure physical athletics as things to aspire for and accomplish and you start to see more intellectual pursuits respected and celebrated.
