Newbie with Guidlines Question

Hi! I just (finally) submitted my first story yesterday. I have a few others in the works but I have a question. The submission guidelines don't permit underage sex, but I keep finding stories (especially in the First Time or Incest categories) that most definitely involve underage participants. So, which is it? For my specific story purposes, if both participants are underage and it's a First Time story, is that okay? My characters are 12 and 15, if that helps any.

18 years old is the magic number on Lit. Your story will be rejected.

Is there any way you can rewrite it and make the characters older?

If you have found stories with underage characters having sex, they must have slipped under the radar somehow. The system isn't foolproof.

More likely, though, the author was just clever enough to make you feel like they were underage, while a closer reading would reveal that they are somehow above the magical 18 year barrier.

Don't take the chance. Re-write, even if it sounds silly to be having two 18-y-o virgins. The readers can figure it out.....Carney

There are other sites that allow it - I don't know the names off the top of my head but I'm sure others here will chime in with answers.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I was no fount of wisdom and maturity even at the age of 18. Naivety doesn't always have that much to do with physical age.

Like the others have said, you can't have underage participants. I have read a number of stories where the character is unusually naive, an inexperienced. Usually a girl who is 18 but doesn't know what a penis is or why it gets hard. The most egrious of these usually make a point to mention the person is 18.

You can't describe sex involving a person under 18. You might mention somebody losing her cherry at 16, as long as you don't go into it any further than that.

If the people meet at work or in college or in a bar or somewhere else where they would have to be at least 18, you can get away with them being immature.

Every story on Literotica has a "Report This Story" link -- if you're finding "obviously underage" characters, then please use that link.

Those who approve stories aren't omniscient and violations of policy do slip through -- which is why the "report this story" link exists.

Think of it as protecting Lit. Not allowing underage stories makes advertising easier and makes the site much less of a target for overzealous morality police.

No, you don't have to rat out authors who break the rules, but why should you allow them to break rules that you have to follow?

I think a more pertinent point is that if the reviewers learn that people aren't reporting stories that slip through, they might become even more suspicious of stories and take an even longer amount of time to get them posted. So rather than 3-7 days, it might become 7-10 days.
