Post your new words. I just learned this one today.

I  words.

Cyclothymia is a mood disorder. This disorder is a milder form of bipolar II disorder consisting of recurrent mood disturbances between hypomania and dysthymic mood. A single episode of hypomania is sufficient to diagnose cyclothymic disorder; however, most individuals also have dysthymic periods. The diagnosis of cyclothymic disorder is never made when there is a history of mania or major depressive episode or mixed episode.

I've always liked sesquipedalian.

ses·qui·pe·da·lian:

1. Given to or characterized by the use of long words.
2. Long and ponderous; polysyllabic.

I love defenestrate.

de·fen·es·trate: To throw out of a window.

And I always liked Terry Pratchett's definition of bosky: having lots of bosk.

Paraskevidekatriaphobia (also friggatriskaidekaphobia)

noun
The irrational fear of Friday the 13th.

As compared to the rational fear?

Yes, I know. That definition was quoted from the MacMillan English Dictionary.

Tmesis (also timesis) noun [C,U]

The separation of a word into parts by inserting one or more words in the middle.

Orthorexia (also orthorexia nervosa) noun
An extreme obsession with eating healthy foods.

Somatization disorder: A psychiatric diagnosis applied to patients who chronically and persistently complain of varied physical symptoms that have no identifiable physical origin.

Semordnilap, noun [C]

A word, phrase or sentence which can be read in reverse with a different meaning.

That's adorable. It's palindromes backward.

Yes, I thought so too.

I am sure there are many who suffer from this and don't know it. :D

Matutolypea , noun

The state of being in a bad mood and easily annoyed, especially in the morning.

I'm a fan of Rich Hall's sniglets. "Words that don't appear in the dictionary, but should."

Especially carperpetuation and flen.

Carperpetuation: The act, when vacuuming, of running over a string or a piece of lint at least a dozen times, reaching over and picking it up, examining it, then putting it back down to give the vacuum one more chance.

Flen: The black crusty stuff that forms around the top of a ketchup bottle.

I like this one..just picturing it is rather funny.:D

Chubble (chuh' bul) n.
The aerobic movement combining deep-knee bends and sideward hops when trying to fit into panty hose.

Hah!

Agonosis (ah uh no' sis) - n. The syndrome of tuning into "Wide World of Sports" every Saturday just to watch the skier rack himself.

I think this applies to Nascar now.
