Ohhh, you know. Up and down, side to side. Splotches and splats. Getting too bent out of shape over trivialities. Crawling out of the muck. See life anew. Start over. Feel good, feel bad, that's life. Feeling better today than yesterday. Up and down, side to side. Splotches and splats.

How's your trees? Did you ever get some satisfaction or at least an apology?

I am off to Venice later on in the year lots of masterpainters there lol
Today was first time I have seen my tree murderer so I decided to have a word and he swore black was white it was on his property so I fetched Ron out who told him (very politely!) what was what and HE got an apology lot of asians think women are lesser beings it seems ... don't help my trees though sigh

Venice! Sweet. All that masterpainting will probably just rub off on you.

Bet their apology wasn't sincere.

Don't suppose it was but even on crutches Ron is a man to be reckoned with ... I think once the house is restored the guy has to live in for so long before selling it on and he will find he has a very disobliging neighbour.. Chloe had the right idea she went and barked at them!

Well, thats really good to know. 'Specially the blood sugar thing. I think I should catch up. I'm on my way to Publix for the $20.00 Chocolate Ganache I've been drooling over.

Thank you muchly, Gaia!
I have homed in on the fact that it contains a 'sexual' arousal.
Others may advocate that growing caocao trees is good for the environment while the healthy lobby appreciate its dietary qualities.

As long as we each have a reason is all that matters!

Have you tried chocolate body paint? Didn't do it for me so I tried mayo which nearly put me off my fav food for good lol

Some facts about chocolate or - how not to feel guilty for eating copious quantities...

Chocolate has been used as a drink for nearly all of its history. The earliest record of using chocolate pre-dates the Maya. In November, 2007, archeologists reported finding evidence of the oldest known cultivation and use of cacao at a site in Puerto Escondido, Honduras, dating from about 1100 to 1400 BC...

Eating chocolate three times a month helps people live longer as opposed to people who overeat.

There is scientific evidence that suggests dark chocolate may lower blood pressure and improve the body's processing of blood sugar.

Pregnant women who eat chocolate at least five times a week are 40% less likely to develop pre-eclampsia than those who consume it less than once a week.

The same chemical responsible for the ecstatic highs of love and sexual attraction, phenylethylamine, is also found in chocolate.

Chocolate trees can’t be cultivated outside of a forest environment. So as more chocolate is consumed, more trees of all types have to be planted. The chocolate gods are very clever, aren’t they?

Holy cocoa, Batman, where'd this magnificent lovely come from? A sweet treat with this kind of command of the God's only food group? I need a breather! Oh wait, I am a breather...

Hey all, hope no one's slippin' on Shank's mess, and Angie, I can barely contain myself.

If I tell you that I'm cooking in very short cutoffs and a bikini top and my hair is in pigtails and I'm barefoot, will you smile a little more? Drool?

I'm sort of a Joisey Daisy Mae today. Skeery, huh?

O that would cheer me up considerably, indeed. *fanself*

Joisey Daisy Mae is kinda the best of both worlds, I suspect...

bj

ditto from me. :)

Yes, well, the pastries were okay. But what I really loved {being a lazy bachelor} was being able to go in and get a ready made salad.

!!!!!!!!!!CHOCOLATE ALERT!!!!!!!!!!

This one's dedicated to our new friend Gaia, who apparently is as much of an addict as I am. If you have even the slightest aversion to death by sweets, don't even look. Just reading the recipe might kill you. Or at least put you into diabetic shock. I've been making this cake for thirty years, and it gets better every time. Check out Chefzillas Kitchen for the recipe for my Brooklyn Blackout Cake. It is about the most sinful chocolate experience you will ever have.

Ange is going to swoon...

Sorry Anschul, no disparagement pointed at you. Ange and I have been "discussing" Sonnets and Sestinas for a number of years now.
Somehow she ends up smiling and twisting me around her little finger.

Foolie, you're one of the writers I admire here, and your wisdom is beyond words. I've been around less than a year (and I am an absolute fool for Bill and Opus), and I'd never try to upstage you or Angie. I took a course in Shakespearean sonnets in college (about forty years ago), and having spent a semester reading and breaking them down, I'd never consider myself a real sonnetier. Every time I write one, I only hope it can approach the standards you guys set. And about Angie having you wrapped, I understand completely. She speaks, I whimper back.

Please. PLEASE! Don't say that 'Sestina' word. You'll get everyone all fired up. I have actually woke up in the night worrying over my weak and now trashed attempt. Never again. I'm having enough trouble trying to do a vachel Lindsay poem. Again.

Anschul- I went to read your stories last night and loved the whole page. Left an inane comment on the Warrior one, but when I tried to edit it, or leave a new one it wouldn't let me. I want a copy of that to stick in a book of stuff I have for My Boys. I't wonderfully thought provoking.

I had a similar experience about a daughter I gave up for adoption. If you're interested I'll share. But I don't want to bore anyone. Maybe on the Blog thread.
