I know this floundered the last time it was raised because no one could decide on dates, but...

How much interest is there?

Got no exams coming up - as long as it's after the wedding, I'm in!

Depends on when it would be for me...After September time and I might could make it. Not helpful I know but scheduling is a nightmare right now.

That's ok. If we're doing an over-nighter it's going to be more cost-effective after the summer tourist season, anyway ;)

I'ld love to do it, but apparently Manchester isn't a good venue for anyone but me. :p

Yeah, I'd like to make it, all being well. things are a bit...iffy, right now. I can't plan very far in the future.

Stratford upon Avon's quite central, and not a huge distance from Manchester

I'm interested, but a coward when traveling. I have a phobia of going to new places alone.

And I might be going back to Vegas in the end of October, if I play my cards right (literally ;) ). So who knows?

Gawd- I wanna I wanna I wanna...

Lets see how my health goes - and my money goes - who know maybe I will hit the jack pot and be able to go wherever I want. Like ENGLAND and FRANCE and GERMANY and ITALY -

oh Sorry thats my world tour LOLOL....

So what are we looking at November? December? January ? or Spring of next year?

Well, I'd prob ably be better getting to a big city, so I can get a deal with the train or the buses, unless I can cadge a lift of someone. :p

I'm not stuck on the Stratford idea. Just thought it was fairly central and picturesque, and had nice respectable writerish connotations. Birmingham's also central, but it's ugly.

I'm completely open to suggestions.

I was thinking about that. Technically, it'll cost less the further ahead we plan it, and people's diaries are more likely to be empty.

I really don't know. i think we need people to throw in ideas, if people know of good hotels to stay in etc, that would be useful info.

I think we might be safer planning far ahead, like next feb/march time maybe? People are probavbly pretty much booked up for holiday time this year already.

Do we want an urban lit-together or a countryside one?

I'd prefer countryside, but I can go for urban. I'd love to volunteer to organise, but i just can't right now.

I'd really, really, really prefer a countryside one, where you can go for walks.

I don't mind having a go at organising if no one else wants to.

I can't help but thinking you're planning your quick spliff escapes in case you get overwhelmed...

Or 'quickies' if you get too overwhelmed.
