See, I like dogs. I'd rather have dogs than cats. And that is why dogs have and will continue scare to the shit out of me.

Right now we have two. One is full grown and weighs not quite 70 pounds. The other is just over a year old (about 14 months we think) and weighs about 20 pounds more than I do. He'll get to be probably 130 pounds or so after he's filled out. They're pretty big. But neither one of them would hurt a fly unless they're protecting us and our stuff.
A lot of it depends on the dog, and what you're doing. If you're not threatening their family you generally don't have anything to worry about.
According to my calculations, that dog weighs over 300 lbs! woof . . .
OK, I can see why dogs make you nervous.I don't know. I like the smaller dogs that you can just kick away or something if they try something hehe. Or the calm dogs. Those are the cute looking ones
But those big 100 pound dogs.. or those violent ones.. just dogs in general.. They go in that attack position and your fucked! If you run they run after you.
Not all dogs but that's what I can't stop thinking to myself.
There was this episode when I was younger where a big dog chased and bit me. And it was a dog like that! Since that big dogs without a leash make me really nervous. And when they jump on me, in a friendly playing way cause they are happy or whatever.. I just freeze or freak out

But as a general rule, those little bitty dogs you prefer are actually meaner and nastier than most big dogs. There are exceptions, of course, but those suckers are just nasty little bastards. Mine are more like Elianna's. Offer a cookie and they'll help you carry the tv out.
Coming from the owner of two little dogs, Riley is Six pounds and Rico is about nine pounds, I love them. Both are attention whores and Riley is a momma's boy but neither would seriously hurt someone. I keep them away from most small kids but they love it when the neighbor kids stop when they are outside to pet them. My cousin has a Newfoundland that is 130 pounds and isn't a year old yet. I couldn't afford to feed that horse.
Did you know that there are more reported dog bites from little dogs than big ones? Something to think about.
"Ankle biters" isn't that far off the mark.
So ParrishP... my question is, if it's attached to your ankle, do you really want to kick out and have it remove that chunk of skin.
(Can you tell I'm not a fan of little dogs? He he he he)![]()
I don't need a dog. I've got a double-barreled shotgun.
I have one of those, too, but I swear, three adult Australian Shepherds were the best deterrent to unknowns coming on my property that I've ever seen. Aussies are a little territorial, and a whole lot distrustful of strangers. Wicked fast, too.![]()
