I dunno - spend one night away from here and you lot get all talkative

Orlanth - that's great news indeed!

Nostress - you can't stop off in Sydney on the way to see Orlanth, perchance? I hear there's a small gathering there...

Ladybird - thanks for the reposting of the photo

Softey1 - I am officially in envy of your friend (though I would have preferred the black/silver, but hey :D ). I LOVED the Spyder testride - if I had the money, that beast would be in my garage...

laelaai - welcome to the insanity, come on in - we don't bite too hard ;)

Hi Mate..
Wish I could get to the G&G again and did try to make it happen but have other family commitments down here that weekend, as it was my holiday up FNQ has had to be shortened....

I see you got to the Ulysses AGM... would love to get along to one of those not that I have much to do with the local group whos only rides seem to be around town and back to the coffee shop...

Hi everybodies...

I just had to post to add my congratulations to your good news Orlanth.. I'm very, very happy for you hon. And please, give Trev a big hug for me when you see him.

AND.... softey sent this pic to me asked that I post it here for Xstatic, so here it is guys!

Hi Gorgeous
while your giving Orlanth orders can you tell him to behave while my partner and I are there.... I have told her all about him.... surprisingly she still wants to meet him :D

A guy I went on the field trip with has messaged me a few times since we got back.
Today he asked if I was keen on running at lunch/after work.
I asked why? Was he planning on doing the city to surf (which they sent an email about for a work team)
He said no, he's just wanting to aviod the mid 20's bulge.
I laughed and said it starts at 27...it's all down kill from there.
He asked how old I was.
I replied 29. Becareful when asking a woman her age!
He replied - If I knew you were that old, I'd not have asked.

There are two ways to take that - the negative way is he thinks I'm old (he's 24). On the positive side, he obviously thought I was younger. I guess my anti-wrinkle lotion is working

I hope everyone is well and happy
:rose:

forgive him... he is young and male.... by the time he is as old as I am he will be a little wiser... of course he will still be male so is bound to say the wrong thing

I am sure he ment it in the nicest of ways

lol....don't tell the Aussie they are the same as kiwi.......hehehe

lol it was something else i wanted to say ..anyway i wont try to explain :D

also been thiking if i go to G&G and bore everyone..mostly will be listening to others

Well bugger - I guess we'll just have to tell stories about you ;)

The Ulysses AGM - well, other than the Grand Parade, I couldn't really nominate anything truly special, but I am thoroughly glad I got there! About the only thing I didn't really care for was the long ride up and back (I need a more comfortable seat - or a faster bike :p ). Makes me wonder about the various WA chapters that made the trip... they obviously have far more endurance than I do!

+1 to this, Valia - you don't have to talk to have a good time, sometimes just being there is enough. Hope to see you there...

I think I can trust you to tell stories about me... after all I did say nice things about your navagation skills at the last G&G we caught up at..

bigger bikes are better for the long runs but its more the type of bike.. my new Triumph is a beautifull bike to ride but not sure how it would go on a real long run... like you I think a change of seats might help.... or if I was 20 years younger ;)

Valia, all of us who have met you DO NOT think your boring, shy, quite yes but not boring at all so please come along although the numbers of possibles is dropping & now looking more like a smaller group that hoped.

As confidence grows with your riding ability you relax more & longer rides then become more enjoyable, in my younger days 4 mates & I decided we needed to see Aussie on our bikes & rode from Sydney to Perth with lots of stops along the way, we would find a place we liked & camped there, got jobs & when we got the itch again we would move on took us about 18 months. Roads & traffic was a lot more open, no radar multi speed limits etc.
