Sex: What is 'Normal'?

I also didn't say normal was the most fun or desirable :D

No, that's not my point.

I disagree with your depiction of what is considered Normal.

Where does masturbation fit into this? I mean, leave gay sex out for the moment. You're saying that masturbation isn't Normal because it doesn't involve Penis into Vagina?

I'm with Sarah on this. If you look at normal as a bell curve, then a lot of this would naturally be incorporated. Plus, homosexuality exists in the animal world, so wouldn't that be a clue that it is in fact, normal?

And everyone masturbates, ergo the 68% rule would make it normal.

Fabulous! :D

You are in your prime, darling. And I'll fuck you if you aren't getting any either.

If we lived closer we could solve both our problems. ;)

*wonders how I can raise enough cash to get you both over here!*

I shouldn't complain. I will soon be joining the normals and getting enough sex to up my 30 seconds a day average up to about 10 minutes per day:D

If ten is normal I'm glad I'm not normal. An hour is the minimum time spent, in my opinion.

Not that a quickie isn't fun. But they should never be normal. :catroar:

I'm averaging it out. If I spend the best part of 36 hours fucking my average should be higher than the 7-8 minutes or so I get every fortnight. I'm so glad I took stats

I don't consider masturbation to be sex. It's just fun :D

Controversy erupts over creation of psychiatric rule book's new edition

By Brian Alexander
MSNBC contributor

This month the American Psychiatric Association announced the names of “working group” members who will guide the development of the new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, the codex of American psychiatry.

Not surprisingly, given the DSM’s colorful history, particularly when it comes to sex, controversy erupted within days of the announcement, especially over membership of the Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders working group, which will wrestle with questions such as: Are sadomasochism or pedophilia mental disorders? Are dysfunctions like female hypoactive sexual desire psychiatric issues, or hormonal issues? Perhaps the most important question is whether, when it comes to many sexual interests and issues, it’s even possible or desirable to create diagnostic criteria.

So what is 'Normal'? Does it exist or is it different for everyone?

it is very different for everyone..it is whatever is comfortable for consenting adults, two or more...

That's easy; just look up "fornicaterers" in the yellow pages.

And yes, I'm hoping to make it to a Lit-Together one of these years, but they're never near where I am. Drat!

"Fornicaterers." :D

There will be one this summer, possibly, in Iowa - around July 4th.

We're going to keep the Chicago one around the third week of March every year. Maybe there's a chance?
