What about the convenient fact that in old movies everyone had jobs that allowed them to be conveniently absent from during key plot points. Or that they seem conveniently free of office politics-with the exception of the machinations of Cary Grant in "His Girl Friday" and Shirley MacLean in "The Apartment"

We also have quite eclectic tastes in music and cannot pin it down to just one genre. It ranges from Sintra, Martin and Bennett to CKY, Megadeath and Metallica. It's nice to be so versitile.
Our movie tastes tend to lean towards the older stuff, in fact, we just got our Frank Sintra and Gene Kelly box set of DVDs in. Anchors Away, Take Me Out To The Ballgame, and On The Town were all wonderful musicals by these two men. We find there's nothing to brighten a day better than a Ma and Pa Kettle movie either.
