What do you make of this?

How did you find it? If it's a new Lit. service just beginning, it seems to have just started in the middle of some author's series, which isn't all that wonderful. It includes one of my chapters that just posted here today.

I seem to remember that at one time the Lit Home page referred to making stories available for the Palm PC format.

Is this it?

Og

It does seem legit, but it doesn't have any way of voting or leaving PC. If it did have these features, I wouldn't have even mentioned it.

What is notable about "the Palm PC Format"?

I was googling lines in some of my stories when I came across this one.

ETA: I just checked for some of my other newest stories and didn't find any, except on this site.

Box, forgive me, but all I could think of when I read your thread title was from Airplane.

Steve McCroskey: Johnny, what can you make out of this?
[Hands him the weather briefing]
Johnny: This? Why, I can make a hat or a brooch or a pterodactyl...

20 minutes late again!

This is a site that has one of my newest stories. It was posted earlier this month. It is apparently part of Lit., but it doesn't connect to this site.

This is totally beside your original point,Box, but i was struck by the non-story aspects of your story :D It's a very sexy little episode and i really enjoyed it. But I would never have published it, myself, on account of how I worry about Plot, and Development and Narrative Structure...

As a result I am not getting much work finished.

So, guys-- is what Box wrote there-- enough?

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, because I write stories hoping that people will enjoy reading them. :)

However, I do not depend on plot or characterization. Mostly, I just write action. In other words, stroke stories. This was the first of a three part story, and the rest should be posted later this month. There is more of a plot, Tara the college student becoming Strider the ponygirl, but it's still mostly stroke, especially the last part.

I remember reading an autobiography of Groucho Marx. He was complaining about movie critics particularly one who said how much he had laughed at a bad movie. What Groucho contended was that the movies hw and his btothers made were intended to be funny and to make people laugh, and if that happened, they were successful. Although I do not rate myself with Groucho Marx, we have similar attitudes. I write stories intended to make people hard or wet and, if that happens, I am satisfied.

The Palm format is a low-bandwidth usage format -- basically pure text with very minimal graphics and non-visible coding.

It used to be that Palm users paid by the kilobyte for every download so Literotica stripped all the graphics and extra coding for voting and leaving comments out of the stories to minimize the cost to palm users.

I don't know how palm usage is billed now, whether it's minutes or unlimited downloads, but the format still minimzes download time and download size.
