Just curious if anyone has thought to start a story based on the series. Watching the new season has really got my mind wandering... So I figured I'd see if anyone had started anything with this theme. Browsed around for a bit, didn't find anything...

Any suggestions?

The "deadliest catch" sounds like an STD that does you in! Not a particularly erotic idea......Carney

Cool show but I'm not seeing the story idea...bunch of guys exhausted and smelling of fish out at see for weeks at a time. HHHHmmmm...the fun would be in the days after getting back.

Tuna anyone?

How about a story based on some old TV shows?

Here Come The Brides, Time Tunnel, The Green Hornet, Lost in Space (which could be Lust in Space), Honey West, Mannix, Hawaii Five O, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Little house on the Prairie (Lusty House on the Prairie), etc. The possibilities are endless. Just research them for character names, and away you go!

hum....working on a fishing boat...not that much fun. now, being on a sail boat with several hot men! lol

Ooooo sign me up for the sail boat and several hot men. :D

I'm not seeing a hot story out of deadliest catch either, unless your talking gay sex stories, course fishing boats don't really have off time for anything besides sailing and fishing.

Now a play on dirty jobs would be interesting, except not dirty jobs, well not that kind of dirty and not with a guy since there's really only three naughty jobs for men, porn star gay and straight of course, male stripper, and male escort. I suppose you could add in a porn star spotter, the person who keeps the men erect, though those usually are women, pretty sure even in gay movie sets. Which says lots about the gay men who do porn.

A woman dirty jobs is alot fuller, well not really much fuller, except there are more jobs women can do that men think we have sex doing. So you can have an episode working as an undertaker, apparently that is seen as a sexy job for women, do not ask me why. An episode working as a stripper, a porn star so on so forth. Obviously it is drawing heavily from Dirty Jobs but not the same and heck I don't think Discovery will care anyway, especially if you do a mention of the show before every episode. ;)

What???

"Away you go" stealing other people's work and ideas.

How is that stealing? There are still authors who write Star Trek stories, even long after the series ended. That would be stealing from Gene Roddenberry, according to YOU, wouldn't it? These are old, canceled shows I'm talking about building a story around. In what way would it be stealing?

I think the idea of the deadliest catch story is a great idea! I can't imagine anything about the show in particular as in while they are at sea but what about when they come to port? I'm imagining a big burly fisherman in town for just one night? Sounds pretty hot to me!

Besides I already think some of the guys on the show are good looking hehe I watch faithfully!

Bit homo erotic? Women are bad luck on fishing boats!

Ok-that's the story. Synopsis: a fresh-faced young man gets a job as a deck hand on a fishing boat. Out at sea, it is discovered that he is actually a girl in disguise. The crew, in horror demands that the captain return at once to port, as the trip is jinxed. The captain gathers them on the bridge and says, "lads, I know of a way to reverse the curse. An ancient mariners superstition handed down from time out of mind. This strumpet sought to stow away as a man, thus we shall use her as a man on the poop deck. Every man jack of you shall do his duty. Tis the way of the sea."

Then they strip her and have their way with her from behind, each and every one from captain to cook to cabin boy. She tries to resist but they threaten to use her for bait. Finally, she decided to remain with the ship, as one of "the boys". A happy ship, that, henceforth.

You stole my idea, I was just thinking about a hot lil stow away or a ship wrecked sweetie floating by, even though it is uber cold there hehe.

Maybe they fish up a mermaid lol

That's a good one, too.

Horny crew days out of port....trying to talk in mermaidese...."say, Capn, why don't we just fuck her??"....tis the curse o the sea, lad, to lay a lustful hand on Neptune's daughters....."I don't know where you'd stick it anyway. She's half fish!..."

One of the ships has a woman on it. She's the wife of the captain. You could start with her.

Using this series is a good idea. It's got danger, the relentless undulating of the sea, and half a million dollars in crabs.

Your mind is a lot sharper than mine, point taken!

Ahem, these authers you are talking about have permission to use the Star Trek materials. Same deal with the Star Wars books out there, they each and every one got permission to write the novel from Lucas, they each were then subjected to an approval from Lucas on the story. Just writing up a story about characters from a movie or show is plagiarism, you are stealing some one elses hard work and using it as your own. Canceled old show or not they are many times still copywrited so doing a story about Kirk and whatever having sex can get literotica and the writer in trouble for copywrite infringement not to mention defacement of character. Characters are protected from those things when they are copywrited.

Keep in mind it does not really matter hwo old the show is, The Jetsons are copywrited still, The Flintstones are copywrited still, Hawaii Five-0 most likely is copywrited still. So on so forth, chances are incredibly good no matter how old the show it is still copywrited and writing a story using those characters can get the writer and whatever web site publishes said story in trouble.

Even if it is not anymore, the children of the character your writing about can still make a case against. As an example, I love Lucy they do a gangbang of Lucy, Lucille Balls children can and probably would win the case against the writer and website for defacement of character against their dead mother. Think about it this way, when you say Lucille Ball, what do you think of first? There are limits that you can reach when doing things with a not copywrited show.
