I used to chat on Yahoo but I gave it up for the reasons you mentioned and for that the fact that the humans became outnumbered by the sexbots about five to one. Not sure what the situation is like these days. Anymore I tend to prefer email to PMs. If you can find someone willing to sit down and write two or three actual paragraphs it is a thing of beauty in itself.

I would like to say I am a woman that does not use net speak, BUT I tend to get lazy and use 'u' for you. I think that's my biggest down fall. What is real sad is Americans are lazy enough, now they are not only using net and text speak, but they really speak that way in sentences. When my daughters come home from school with that jargin, TTYL, BFF bull crap I don't acknowledge they are speaking. After they get frustrated with me, I finally tell them that if they wish to speak to me, they need to use proper grammar.
