Fantasy Football - Keeper League

He has lots of potential. I agree with your choice. If I had him I would take him forward instead of Fitzgerald.

I like the idea of going forward with a qb, rb and wr..........although Gonzo isn't a #1 wr.

Had I not made the trade my keepers would have been eli, addai, and wayne.

I'm of the same philosophy. QB, WR and RB. Although, if I could get another RB I would think about taking two with Romo.

Newbie "keeper league" question.

When do we have to designate our keepers?

If the question has already been answered somewhere, my apologies.

For Filly:

Congrats to those who have advanced to the playoffs! LillyO isn't in this league, so it's wide open race to the finish line.

For those of you who didn't make the post-season, this is your time to start planning for next season. To that end, upon the completion of this fantasy football season, I will re-open the trading window. Some of you have picked up players during the season with the potential to be starters next season (at least you think they do) and as such, you now have the option to trade them to other managers who may be deficient at that position in order to improve your team.

Trade logistics are simple: Agree to a trade with a fellow league manager, at which point BOTH of you should PM/email me to consummate the trade. I will then manually effect the trade.

Abandoned teams -
Intra-season, teams will be considered abandoned if its manager doesn't sign into the League's Yahoo page for a full calendar month AND does not respond to any of my three PMs/emails. Once a team is considered abandoned, its players will be benched and its roster locked. Its manager will also not be invited back the following season without a damn good reason. Inter-season: see deadlines and note that abandoned rosters will re-enter the FA pool.

Additional details regarding drafting order will be posted in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here are a few HARD deadlines to keep in mind:

April 1, 2008 - Trade window closes.

May 1, 2008 - All managers must confirm their team's participation and provide me with their THREE keepers for the 2008 season.

Last Sunday before the start of the 2008 season - Draft Day

Has anyone decided their keepers yet? I am still humming and hawing over mine, it is hard to narrow down to just three.

Everyone on my team is available for trade except Peterson.

That includes Ryan Grant, Jason Witten and Matt Hasselbeck.

When are our keeper lists due?

Warrick Dunn was released by Atlanta today. It's possible a team might sign him to be their featured back and suddenly he's a lot more valuable to me.

May 1 is creeping closer and closer. I better do this while I'm thinking of it. My three keepers are:

Peyton
Addai
Gonzalez

I will keep Romo, Jones-Drew and Fitzgerald. But I'm not sure about the last one. Warrick Dunn has been signed by Tampa to be their RB. And with Cadillac Williams still hurt he might get a lot of carries. RBs are always so hard to find, maybe it's best to keep even a middle of the road one like Dunn.

I'm not in the league, just poked in, but ...

Warrick Dunn might not be the steal you are hoping for. Between his age and his size, I wouldn't expect TOO much out of him (and definitely not as a featured back).

IF he finds a home, he'll most likely be sharing the burden between the 20's and won't be seeing too many red zone touches.
