...too terrified to sleep.

I should fucking know better than to watch movies that I know are going to scare me to death.

:(

*hugs loads* :kiss::rose:

Oh I know that one, I make it a firm rule to try not to ever watch anything to spooky right before bed. Either that or the poor hubby gets to be awake a lot during the night while i have dreams about the movie:rolleyes:

Same here. I just now let poor Gizz go to sleep...he helps but not enough in these situations. I'm downstairs with all the lights on and the tv on too, hoping that the Benadryl kicks in so hard that I won't have a choice but to sleep.

Thank you. :rose:

I'm there for completely different reasons. I'm sick, so stayed home from work (which so you know, has happened about once this year, so I'm really sick). After laying in bed all day, I've finally got my 2nd wind....at 4:00AM! Add to that the personal shit, and I don't expect to sleep at all.

Hope you have better luck. :rose:

BTW, I used to have the worst nightmares growing up. I'd always be in a room and look out the window (even though I knew it was a bad move), only to see something bad looking back. I could never get to sleep after that. When I had my daughter, all my nightmares became about her (usually something like me forgetting her or losing her somewhere). I don't even try to go back to sleep after those for fear I'll slip into the same dream.

I never watch scary movies! I've been frightened enough in real life and don't need any more adrenaline rushes, thank-you very much. Besides, I have a nasty tendency to shoot back when frightened and new TV's are expensive. And we don't even need to talk about repairing the wall behind it. ;)

But you had no idea this was one of those movies that scare you to death... it's okay...:kiss::rose:

I managed to sleep off and on on the couch this morning. Needless to say, I'm tired. I'm sorry to hear that you're sick though...hope you feel better soon. :rose:

LOL I don't do that...I just sit terrified and watch.

Yargh...no more scary movies for me, I think. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day I watch them (although this was actually just before bed last night), they'll still keep me from sleeping. I don't necessarily get nightmares so much as I hear little sounds, and like all little kids do, I get frightened that those sounds are being made by whatever scared me in the film.

Well...no I didn't know initially but that first time that the...whatever-they-were...appeared in the movie I was tempted to ask you to turn it off and I didn't. I probably should have.

I don't get scared by horror movies, but I do find some quite harrowing. The Decent was the last one I saw. I was in the middle of it when I asked myself why am I putting myself through this?

At the moment I'm tired because for some reason I keep waking up at ridiculously early hours of the morning even though I need more sleep.

It was I Am Legend.

Which makes me really, really pissed because I really wanted to see it.
You should have tried John Carpenter's The Thing when you were in grade school. Seriously, I haven't had a movie scare me in about 15 years.

Oi ve. No thanks.

My mother's big thing is The Hypnotic Eye. Scared her to death when she was a kid, scared her again as an adult...she won't go near it now.

That is so funny! I knew that's what you were talking about when you mentioned the first time those things came on the screen. We saw it a couple weeks ago, and I felt the same way.

Creepy as hell isn't it?

Yes. I really didn't enjoy it at all. Will Smith was great. It was just so tense the whole time, and the payoff at the end didn't seem worth it.

The payoff was virtually nonexistent in my opinion...very anticlimactic ending.

Did you see both versions? I saw the one they didn't use in the theaters and while I didn't like it, it was thought-provoking.

No...and honestly I don't really have much intention of it. I can't deal with the fear. :(

Damn you Navy and your policy of already being at work an hour before the crack of dawn

hehe, That's OK. I haven't seen the original, but the one I saw was actually quite peaceful and resolved the situation differently than what I heard happened. Regardless, I'm going to catch the movie when it comes to PPV. I don't expect greatness, but I'm a huge Will Smith fan, so it'll be worth a look. The one I'm waiting for is Cloverfield. I really dug that movie and am hoping they add a little detail on the DVD that wasn't in the theaters.
