Would you invite a Litster (one that had very few posts and almost no "board history") to your home for a first time meeting?

No is my immediate answer. Largely because you haven't had the opportunity to get to know this person through their posts, and being that he/she doesn't have much of a history it's hard for other Litsters to vouch for them.

I know of a Litzen who changed their name, so they have a low post count. I have known this person for five years, so yes, I would invite them to my home.

But only because we have known each other for so long.

No, I wouldn't invite anyone over to the house without first getting to know them in a public place or a hotel.

I wouldn't invite anyone I didn't know to my house for a first meeting if I hadn't had lots of conversations with them first. It wouldn't have anything to do with them being from Lit though.

I voted llama.

P.S.

Only because it was really the only option that made sense for me.

It would depend on the scouting report.

I always check references.

My first answer would be. Hell no.

It all depends on how much I have talk to the person before hand. And how much I would trust said person. Meaning how much I would want parts of my real life being exposed to that person.

Generally no, though.

You could have 30, 000 post and be respected member of the Lit boards and the meeting would be on neutral ground. Till I establish that your Lit persona is not fraudulent. Please bring three forms of ID and a letter of reference. Now if you have a really great ass just wear sexy underwear and I'll give you a waiver.

No. My children live here. Even with people I've known for years and met several times in person, it is exceptionally rare any of them have been to my house. As far as Litizens go, there has only been one.

Probably not.

Not knowing me, they might make a mistake and get hurt.

I'm a friendly type person but strangers can be strange, and I'm a little jumpy around people I don't know.
