A little Rock 101 for you, Scouries. The name Pink Floyd comes from two American bluesmen, Pink Anderson, and Floyd Council. In their own country they couldn't be seated in a restaraunt, forced to ride in the backs of buses etc, people like them were legends in Britain. It was musicians like Council, Anderson, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, BB King etc that influenced young Brits like Eric Clapton, David Gilmore, Mick Jagger, John Lennon etc. Outcasts in thier homeland, they were revered in England.

The one thing Pink Floyd is not is gay.
