Sorry to interject....I've been reading your posts, Red & Brett, and I just wanted to say that I applaud you for having the courage to live out your dreams. I love to write. I have tons of poems written and a short novel done but lack the courage to get them published. I sent out some magazine articles I had written to some mags but was rejected. The motivation to continue submitting has not returned. Oh well.

Writing is rather new to me. I've only been doing it since May 2005. Never had done it before then, even hated it.

I think I can handle rejection from a publisher more so than rejection from the people here at Lit, because they are my friends. I have a series on Lit that is ready to be sent to a publisher, it's a novel, so only the right publisher will take it.

I am such a procrastanator.

The motivation will return when you least expect it.

LOL - well I know he's Disney's teenage hearthrob. He's a California boy too, central California born and raised.

I also know who Raven-Symone is (love her!), Miley Cyrus (her dad bugs me), the actors of Drake and Josh (I think it's Josh who won my coveted "damn that kid has gotten tall!' award), and one of my favorite cartoon characters, Kim Possible!

P.S. Monique Coleman, also of High School Musical 1 and 2, was on Dancing with the Stars, partnered with Louis van Amstel.

Write JANE and keep writing. I didn't submit with my company, they approached me and so far, have used 100% of the stuff I have sent them. I had some bumps in the begginning [ and a few potholes since ] but by and large, it has been great.

DAIZIE, I give you the same advice - write, flex that creative muscle and keep on flexing it. Don't worry if I don't respond ASAP hon, sometimes I have a lot going on when I am out here. For example, "write" now, I am working on a new one for the publisher and just finished a brief IM conversation.

If you must leave though, be well.

My - all departed? I don't leave without saying goodnight, unless everyone else vanishes - which does seem to have happened.

Interesting talk about writing and getting published. I wrote during college, mostly poetry (most not very good!), lots of essays, and I also write and edit a lot for my job. But as to writing fiction of any kind, much less erotic stuff, I sort of just fell into that. A story came to my mind and pestered me until I finished writing it. It's still one of my favorites to this day.

For now, I write just for the fun of writing. A character comes in my mind, or a circumstance, and I write down what I can. Sometimes it turns into a story, other times it remains just a fragment. I have lots of those saved on my computer now

I'll be around this evening - but I think many of you are on different time zones and tucked in bed already

It's nearing midnight here, but as I didn't get out of bed until 4 PM, I have energy and will remain on-site unitl everyone vanishes.

I am working on the first of a pile of new stuff the publishers need, already 222 words into it. I had the idea, just have to get the particulars down.

What can I say, I have a smutty mind!

Well, I tried sleeping earlier, but it didn't work. So hi to RED and to LANDIEK this morning and to everyone else who follows.
