I know. I have no background with which to draw on for this. All I know is that I talk down to myself horrendously but if someone else starts, they better be ready to apologize. Just make sure he knows it's unacceptable and that things are going to have to change. Then find some support for yourself. Talk to other women who know something about it. Find a support group. I bet there are a few women here who know something about being mentally abused by a SO. You occupy a very important space in this universe.
