Okay, I now know that there are at least three of us in the area. I have a great backyard to entertain in with a pathetic lack of people to entertain. Is there any interest in a, what, Summer Solstice Party?

SoCal is still home to me (Santa Barbara, to be exact), but unfortunately, I don't live there right now. :(

We were just there a couple of weekends back. Dinner at Opal, fiddling around at the Santa Barbara Orchid Ranch, lovely town but I really have to admit that Ojai is more my style. It's a little more down market, a bit less refined, grittier but still with great food.

We lived at the foot of Old San Marcos Pass, and could see the Islands from our patio on a clear night, and watch the fog roll in at dusk.

I really, really miss it.

Most of the time she rolled in at dusk.

Don't I wish! No, my desires for the Agrarian Freak lifestyle were quickly quashed by the responsibilities of parenthood. The Hot Mama took a very dim view of joining the Children of the Sun so my wanderings through SB were very curtailed. Instead, I attempt to 'farm' my suburban lot. Don't do too bad a job, either. Y'all find your way a bit south of SB, gimme a shout.

The shaking earth scares me.

ROFLMAO!!!

Now if all the threadjackers will start their own hysteria, I really was trying to find out who lives close enough to me for a barbacue to begin the summer with. Anyone who lives in the snow and tornados is certainly welcome and I do have a really nice guest room but . . . may I have my thread back, please? ;)

You dolls are a complete hoot!
