I always wanted to hand out superballs to all to the students before a pep rally, so that we would all throw them at the gym floor right after the pledge of allegiance. That would really mess up the faculty's day.

But you are faculty, so I guess you wouldn't find that much fun...

Did that at our graduation. Also blew up beach balls, had silly string (before it was banned in our school) and as we were handed the diploma, shook hands with the principal with a hand full of marbles he had to take from everyone. lol great fun at that age.
 
Logical to a fault. I know I made sense. I wish you would have argued a little though. That's the part that hurts. And every little bit of uncertainty just increased exponentially.

It wouldn't mess up our day much other then throw the schedule off.

I wouldn't. Honestly, neither would my students. First, they know we'd just made them stay and pick them all up, and second, they'd also know it would guarantee the end of all pep rallies and end of year activities for them.

In any case, I just never quite "got" pep rallies. It's one of those things I never quite got used to.
