UU Churches are very liberal and accepting. They literally welcome everyone.

I had problems with how several of the questions were worded. Some of them were quite vague and I wasn't clear on what they were asking. Then I saw the results and realized that it probably didn't matter all that much.

So what, they just go for the pot lucks and garage sales?

A community of faith and worship, but, one that doesn't dictate how or what you should think of a god.

I'm an athiest, but I have respect for UUs.

Yeah, there were a couple where I wasnt nuts about any of the answers.

Your list looks like mine flipped upside down. Hahaha

Well I dont mean to disrepect them, especially since it looks like I might be one. hahaha

Mostly, it's a religion for people who want to say they have a religion but don't necessarily want to go to church or adhere to any particular religious beliefs.

It's the answer to the question, "I cn haz religin?".

A couple of my very closest friend are nearly lifelong UUs. The first bit is pretty much how they've described it to me.

It seems that about a third of the questions wouldn't necessarily fling you into one group or another, especially the ones about societal preferences.

Why I dislike this quiz: Lumping together "I do not believe in a god" with "I don't know" and "I don't care" is insane. Especially, when they say "I believe in evolution" and lumping that in with not knowing/not caring.

Not believing in God or Genesis is not the same thing as not knowing or not caring. That quiz is redic.

heh I thought it was cool

(and very friggin true in my case as I consider myself eclectic pagan...)

Good point. Its kind of like "I dont know" doesnt count, where really its very important.

Yeah, no surprises there.

"I don't know" puts you at least mostly in the Agnostic camp whereas "There is no God" puts you in the Atheist one.

And, there is a world of difference between the two.

And I loathe the "I don't care" group more than most devout followers of any other religion. To me, caring is essential, in all aspects of life.

Someone posted a test similar to this a couple of years ago. The questions were different but the results are pretty much the same.

But not necessarily for the purposes of this quiz. The only way the difference would matter is if the person who made the quiz considered either or both of them a religion.

Then again, many shamanistic beliefs hold that there is no God (or that there may or may not be a God) but that certain aspects of nature, or ancestor spirits, should be revered in a similar fashion as Gods. Having those options grouped together would help capture those sorts of folks, right?

Well I dont mean to disrepect them, especially since it looks like I might be one. hahaha

But I am having trouble figuring how a religion that doesnt have faith or worship works.

They've evolved in that direction. 100 years Unitarians and Universalists (they were separate churches then) were pretty much just ordinary Protestant denominations, albeit ones with some unorthodox opinions. They've gradually liberalized to the point where they don't really adhere to the central tenets of Christianity any more.
