Great to hear that it went well bandit.

Hopeing that it does work for a long time

Updatin' stuff :)
Gil had the op this morning, and apart from being in a bit of pain all appears to be ok so far *everything crossed* and he will be coming home tomorrow morning.

Now it just has to heal and stay unclogged so we can hopefully use this one for more than a few months!
*Happy Dance* :rose:
Glad to know the first steps are down and he's not stuck in the hospital.

LOL he rang me at 7.30am and said "Come and get me!" By the time I got there he was waiting outside with his bags :D Couldn't wait to leave the place. He went to bed about 9.15 and got up at lunchtime. They kept waking him all night to do obs, and he was exhausted. Hospitals aren't the place to be if you're sick

So true! The best place to be when you're not well is home. I'm glad to hear that Gil is home, safe and recovering.

Hospitals are definitely not places to be. Just get the procedure done and get out of there and back home for the real healing.

Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Evening all,

Been a few weeks since I was on here. Busy sorting out my new life changes and the medical stuff. Lost about 12kg since early Jan. I'll need new clothes some time soon. I find the medical fraternity an interesting group. Apparently I have a team, trouble is I'm doing all the work. Kinda of like being at work.

Now these bathroom scales are any of these accurate? I was told by one of those weighing machines you find in the shopping centres that I was 353kg. I was looking around for the other two people obviously on there with me. I didn't get my $1 back. I then purchased one of the digital ones, which was OK until it went dyslexic. I think it now needs rehab. Then I purchased the old fashioned dial ones. Which I later found out was incorrect by 10kg. This was so much simpler before when I didn't need to know my weight.

I see we have some new arrivals. Welcome to all who have joined.

Things getting warm again in Melbourne town, hopefully this will be the last of it.

*lol* I'd suggest you judge your weight loss by how your clothes fit and what size you take - but these days the clothes sizes range just about as much as your scales did!
Congrats of your weight loss! Yes, it's hard work and the 'fun' of a new diet soon wears off - just keep in mind your improved health when you reach your goal wieght and the sense of achievement you'll feel.

Speaking of fitness and health...time for my Pump class!

Hiya Pert

Yep I have been noticing how the trousers now only stay up with a belt. I only bought them last year, now they really are too big. Thankfully I kept the old ones which also now are showing signs of being a little loose.

I'm not sure on judging it on the clothes sizes. Anything made in China varies so much.

Now when you say Pump class I'm guessing it isn't related to you av. Although I dare say it would be popular. Right now I'm just doing work on the exercise bike but I'm continually pushing up the rate of effort.

Anyway happy pumping....I mean happy exercising...OK I'm just going to go bite some fruit as in the stuff you buy. Hmmm...may be I should just stop typing

Gil needs an accurate scale to weigh in for dialysis, so we got a digital one that measures to the nearest 100g. It cost about $50 from Big W.

Did you try replacing the battery/ies? that could be why it's gone ballistic

Hi Aussies

Just dropping by to wish Gil a good recovery. Glad to hear he's back home from hospital. Love to you and Bandit from Oman and I in the States!:rose:
