Awwwww ... that is sooo sweet! I'd have never thought to have her go 'round to see if others would match the funds!

I'm currently sitting here eating my wabbit food at my desk craving a nice juicy burger and procrastinating. I don't want to be here :p :D

Mmmm wabbit food. :D I think the only reason I thought of it was because I was a girl-scout leader for so many years and we were always trying to find ways to earn money for the community or for badges/trips for the troop. :D

Have a good day, I'm off to the banks.

I wonder... if I can get them to donate to the Red's March Fund?

*Real Rant.....Brace yourselves....

NOOOOOO! it was supposed to produce hot, sweaty, ragged breathing and a raging hard-on!

SIMIAN...PRIMAL...undeniable bulges.... !!

i wanted...wanted... hot hitched breaths, slow lip licks, hungry, blazing gazes, fevered mind, searing need....

...*agonized groannnnn....

not eloquence in thanks...*heavy sigh

.(..yah...call me selfish....)

Hope she has a prosperous day sweetie

*hugs* Thanks... she psyched herself out. She asked one bank and they told her they'd fax the information to their home office and call her by Friday. So by the time we had gotten to bank #2 she'd worked herself up and her lips were trembling, tears ready to fall and she couldn't go make the pitch anymore.

So she took her original gift card of 25 and used it at Wal-Mart to purchase food and will do so again if the one bank matches her card this weekend.

That is so sweet of her. It shows the base values that you have given to your daughter. You should be proud and I am honored to know you.

Thank you. I am very proud of her. I know how hard just making that first visit was. I couldn't have asked her to do more than that, nor would I have. She did great. :) I really hope the bank matches her original card. She's penned them a thank you note for taking the time to listen to her and I know she's very excited to go to the Food Bank on Friday to deliver her groceries. :D

As it has intrigued me, I will be joining the 2008 survivor contest. I shall attempt a short story, poem, or novel chapter a week until the contest closes.

See you at the finish line.

I shall try to do so. It'll help get my writing skills to the point where I want them, as practice certainly helps.

I'll just have to figure out how to traslate skills writing erotica to my science fiction and fantasy works, eventually, heh.

The problem is translating ideas into full-fledged stories.

It can sometimes come easy and sometimes not. I struggle too. Finally got the opening going for a new chain story I'm conducting, but it took a bit of planning and plotting. Even now I'm not set on the idea and have to ask those involved to read over it and kinda hold my hand as I write chapter one.

It happens. I don't have anyone I actually WRITE with, and usually don't even have an editor, so I gotta do it all myself.

I usually struggle with the beginning; where to start it, what happens to get the ball rolling... but once it does... BAM. It rolls.

Well, editing isn't a problem. There are many here that will edit for you and if you want someone who is more professional then you can post needing an editor in the editor forum here on Lit.

As far as anyone to write with... you can also do that pretty easily. IF you want to start out slow and get some experience under your belt, you could start in the SRP forum or the ORP forum on Lit. Or you could look through the chain story directory and either ask to join an existing chain, or you could work on a chain story that is opened ended, meaning no ending is in sight.

On the Bus is a chain story like that. . .it is still open and revolves around the people who get on and off a bus that is traveling across country. A greyhound even. :D The only constant characters are bus drivers and maybe a person or two traveling the whole distance. The chapters do not rely on each other and are mini-stories all on their own.
