Hey People,

Just curious about what people whom write on chyoo are like in the 'real world'. You can be as specific or vague as you like. I'll kick it off...

I'm mid-twenties and work nights in a pathology lab in australia, I spend most of my free time with my girlfriend or trying to maintain a social life with friends which is hard to do when you work long nights. I'm not shy but certainly not terribly outgoing...

Anyone else?

I work in a high technology job in California, in an outwardly conventional relationship that started with my girlfriend and I exploring the sex-positive circles and parties in our locality. She's "retired", but I'm still connected.

I can't say that my writing draws much on my personal experiences, though I'm sure it works its way in in bits and pieces.

I started contributing to Chyoo when I was unemployed and looking for something to do, and Chyoo seemed easier and more fluid than trying to code an erotic text adventure game.

I'm a senior programmer in ecommerce, living in Minnesota in the cold and snow. I live in an open polyamorous triad with two other women, my wife and our other significant other. They each have a daughter from previous relationships. I'm previously divorced and have two kids that live with their mother. There's also another roommate in the house, as well as our foster son. A full house. Seven on a normal day, nine when my children visit for the weekend. I just broke up with my girlfriend of nine months.

As you can guess, most of my free time is spent with family. I also write speculative fiction (SF, Fantasy, Horror) as well as erotica, beyond CHYOO. I've recently had my first professional, paid publication at Oysters and Chocolate (oystersandchocolate.com), an erotica webzine. (Look for "George's Other Cherry Tree Story"). My specialty is flash fiction, stories in less than 500 words. I've sold a total of five, one published.

My other interests are games (cards, board, and RPGs) and Wicca.

I'm a mild mannered reporter for the Daily Planet in Metropolis.

Mixed Sorts eh?

wow, it takes all types doesn't it? Can't pidgeon-hole writters though, especially erotic writters - we like holes :)

My relationship with my girlfriend of 3 years is pretty conventional. We're both bisexual and have been through the whole 'mixing partners' and 'unconventional relationships' things etc before we met each other. Anyone who knows about them can tell you it can be a real headache sometimes. So it's just the two of us - we don't like to share each other (awwwwwwwwwww).

My writting comes from pure fantasy - helps me get out of my own head and be someone else for a while. Which is something I've enjoyed doing since childhood. I find I write my best erotica after a few days of 'celibacy', my blood is just a little bit hotter - is it just me or does anyone else get that?

I'm the mild-mannered alter Ego of The_Darkness, long time Lit contributor and phantom of the Author's Hangout forums.

I enjoy long walks in the woods during the fall, playing with my two kids, spending time with my wife, hunting my fellow humans on the paintball field, and playing violent video games. I also write science fiction, send angry letters to politicians when they do things that make America look stupid, and I write RPGs for Silver Gryphon Games and I'll be writing a setting book for Savage Worlds over the course of the next year or so.

Beyond that, I work at a factory and am pretty much the go-to man when someone needs something done. If I don't know how to do it, they train me and I'm off and running. I program their robotic welder as well, but I think it's getting sold to another company.

Aside from all of that, I manage to still hangout with friends, keep in shape, and write filthy, dirty porn.

I only sleep 4 hours a night and I love ice cream.

UPDATE:

Since this was written, my relationship with our other significant other has changed to more of a buddy relationship, except for the fact that we co-parent her daughter. We still all live together.

I've also started a relationship with a new local girlfriend (since May). We met on OKCupid.

In July, I connected with a woman from NJ that I've known for 15 years, but never got to know very well. We hit it off like gangbusters, and everything is now about how to get the money to fly to be together. She's been here twice and I've been there once. We are meeting in Atlanta next weekend for my birthday.

Sounds like you've got your hands full.
