What's your mood today?

My mood is surprisingly upbeat even though I had a not too productive day at work.

If I was working at another lab I would be stressed to no end....but...I love my job and the folks I work with.

I'll be working my ass off the next few weeks but it'll be well worth it.

:)'s for everyone!

I'll miss you even more :(

It might make you paranoid. Then you'd be paracontemspectivoid.

Damn.

Screw that.

Ok time to get into the bourbon then. :D

(sung to the tune of that sunshine song thing by John Denver)

Bourbon
In my shot glass
Makes me happy

Bourbon
With my Coke
Can make me smile

Bourbon
Almost always
tastes so lovely

Bourbon
*fall over on floor and giggles*

Tired. Not in as good a mood as I was earlier. The kids go to their dad's tomorrow so I have a crazy weekend to look forward to.
Except I'm really tired. And I want someone to be nice to me for a little bit.

Woke up around 4.30ish, staggered to the bathroom, with my eyes still closed, and was thinking about the alarm going off in 2 hours, when it slowly dawned on me that it was Saturday!! Woohoo! No alarm.

So why did I still wake up - and get up - at normal time?

Stupid old bat.

Morning all.

Oh........and.............

PINCH AND A PUNCH FOR THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH

Gotcha!!

Next week, Min and I are travelling to Portsmouth for her to take the 'Citizenship Test'. This test used to be only for those seeking citizenship. Since April last year, it is required to be taken - and passed - by anyone seeking 'Indefinite Leave to Remain' in the UK.

She bought the book, she's been studying, we've both been studying. The BBC have an on-line sample test you can take, and she found this free site, which has pages and pages and pages of sample tests, which are a very good way of revising the required information.

We've both been taking them, and so far, I've only managed a highest pass rate of 20 out of 24. I failed several times.......

I still don't get why they expect immigrants to know more about this country than the people living in it. But, we will abide by the rules.

She HAS to pass this test, else come October, she will have her visa application refused, and it's bye-bye Min.

That CANNOT happen.

Until this test is out of the way, pass letter safely filed away, we really can't move on. It's been hanging over us like the sword of Damacles for months now. Every now and then the enormity of what could happen if she actually failed, smacks me in the face, and I go into a major panic.

I know if she failed, she can take the test again and again and again until she does, quite honestly, having tried the dummy ones, it's all a matter of luck which questions you get - like any exam. It still sucks majorly. And it costs. It ain't free. £34 each try.

here's another one.
